That's not quite true. Theoretical physics deals with calculating natural phenomena. You can fit a calculation in theoretical physics to real measured data, and then extrapolate from there to make statements on behaviour you haven't experienced so far - and it works surprisingly often.

Contrastingly, there's no data to fit theology to.#

I understand, I was hoping to avoid the explanation with the word 'akin'. ;)

The 'math' may work, but it still unverified. Thankfully a lot of Experimental Physics (Natural Philosophy) becomes Experimental Physics. Theology on the other hand holds unto a single axiom that cannot be verified.

I'm holding out for the LHC to go online, which has a non-zero chance of destroying the world. yay! Supposidly there are tests that verify the data-sets presented by m-theory (SuperString) are correct. This doesn't prove it true, but only that it isn't false. :) Obviously if the data collected is not verifable, that means something is quite wrong...

Science == Falsifiability

Which is something theology is not. Theology assumes it is right, then tries to find facts to support it.

Mr. Nomer: I'm glad to know your so proud that you got me on spelling. Bravo.

Main? Don't you mean mai...oh wait, I see what's going on. You want me to correct you so you can eat my pinkies and thus contribute to your nippleage!
