Yes. It's now running in the right direction (for me anyway), but is still hiding behind the avatars.

I prefer the online banner to be behind the avatar. You still understand that the person is 'online' however to move the avatar below would just take up screen real-estate.

hey psi, i'm sure you've noticed, but the profile avatars dont display until after the text. is this on purpose? Am I the only one who thinks it looks wierd and makes for rather long posts .

That is the product of CSS rendering by your browser. The original theme implementation was to render the post body first then the post profile second. By leaving it same order by telling it by CSS to position it reverse (post profile on left side), then images will load in the order received by the browser, in this case, your signature image will load first then the avatar second.

Yet another lovely side-effect of making the post-profile on the left. Blame Femto.

Print screen is malfunctioning, but I've cleared my cache and the online banner is still broken- it appears behind the avatar, not overlaid it.

I'm awesome.

not broken, that is by design, I'm thinking of replacing the image with something else.

It never 'overlayed' when it was on the right either, the avatar was just pushed to the left.

postprofile and postbody are flagged as 'floats' in CSS, so they float left or right, and as such float over everything else.

While I found Femto's arguement interesting, especially citing ART, these concepts must have been lost on hundreds of thousands of advertisers and their agencies since the advent of print ads and their webpages. People, though they read left to right, tend to pause on the right and capture the information located there more easily. That is why in a newspaper, the upper right hand corner of the page is considered prime real estate.

That being said... You can avoid the bias when reading a post the same way I do now that the profiles are again on the left. The page doesn't fit my screen so I simply move the page till the avatars and profile info are no longer visible, then I read the posts. I am not interested in your personalities, only your points. If they have merit, they will be self evident.

Ok, so that little experiment proves to me that having profiles on the left sucks.

So, I reverted my changes and all you leftist commie bastards will just have to deal.

I'll still work on improving the forums as time allows, but the whole left/right thing is no longer an issue with me.
