It's no racism, necro just means black, what do you think where the words negro or nigger came from. :P
And he's already black, why to necro(black) him. That's nothing against black people, just saying they are already black. :P

... rap.. is music? *pukes* It ranks right up there with country. :(

Anywho... "In this world, some people born are like keys that move the world and exist having no connection to the social hierarchy established by man." Always a favorite.

Gatts: And what if I say no?
Griffith: No?

-

This is out of topic, but going to slide this in. In the fight between Gatts and Griffith that follows this dialogue, I notice Griffith picking up a stone after he's knocked down by Gatts. What's he trying to do with it?

"If you're always worried about crushing the ants beneath you...you won't be able to walk."
- Guts

This was a fave quote but to me, it just doesn't make any sense. How can you compare humans to ants?

Griffith: "Because I want you, Guts."
Guts: "...Are you homo?"

Is this now a "Name that quote"-Thread?

Artezul, it was Guts who took that stone, to make his punch harder.

Also pretty good ones:

"What the hell? Look I don't remember doing anything to any priests...not without reason...very often. (persuasive ability: zero)" Guts (Vol.16 P164)

"You'll become a twisted adult." Guts (Vol.28 P12)

"This is war! There is no spectator seat on the battlefield. Death on the battlefield doesn't separate royalty, nobles and commoners. Those defeated die!" Griffith (Vol.8 P115)

I think I will find some more...

HAHAHAHAHA, I mentioned the same quote on the first page of this thread back when it was first created. I got it wrong the second time though.

I love how you point that out every time. :P But I am glad you do, cause its a fact we can't reitterate enough for n00bs not to do.
psi29a wrote:*bump* Sorry for necroing (from the VERY bottom, 3 pages to the right), but this was a fun one. Perhaps we should make this the "Name that quote" thread now.

First up, who first said this: "..." :D
Damn you psi and your necroing. :P

Actaully I forgot about this thread and its definately a good one, way to bring it back. Also like the game you set up. I like it better than just randomly posting quotes. Its cooler to have people guess who says it and where.

Well here is my quote/quotes. Its a convo between too people, and collectively its a great quote. Probably the best IMO.

"Looking from up here its as if each flame were a small dream, for each person, They're like ..." Person A

"A bonfire of dreams" Person B

I was going to do the whole scene, but decided I am too lazy.

Yeah, it was a pretty easy one. But it is by far my favorite part of the anime. The music during that seen was just perfect, as well as it was a major turning point in the Guts/Casca relationship. Also it is one of the first times you see Guts as actually being an intelliegent man as well as a great leader. That scene shows his analysis skills, as well as his ability of knowing what all his soldiers are like and having a relationship with them. In the manga, I am not sure if its the best part or not, there are many good spots in the manga, that aren't in the anime, also that is one example of using TV to express something better than it was on paper. The music and everything added alot of feeling to it. I love that scene. [/ramble]
