Well, Boscogn is the General that fought Guts back when he was still a member of the Hawks. It was the last battle Guts had as a Hawk and it was when Zodd threw his sword at Guts' side to help him defeat him. I was personally surprised to see that there was somebody that could go toe to toe against Guts like that aside from Griffith or Zodd himself.

As for Serpico, well, I never said that Guts lost. The battle ended in a stalemate at best, with no clear winner. Serpico did have him checked though and last time I was reading through it, I felt like he had the upper hand.

Serpico suprised Guts cause he was acting like was weak when he was around farnese but i wouldnt say that he had an upper hand.

And once again Guts was a normal soldier back then he would have had problem against most Generals.

I'm not saying that there couldnt be a human stronger than him but comparing the Guts now and the kid that was with the hawks isnt right.

I'd say Gatt's has reached a Conan Level of power: Pure man points. There isn't a trace of estrogen left in his body. Now, are tehre a few people around that might be as strong as him? Perhaps. Do they want to fuck with him? No. Since we can't loko at everybody in the berserk world, or ask the author, we should keep this on focus and say that Gatts is stronger then his current opponent, who does have the advantage of terrain, as those pillars are going to slow gatts down a bit.

well.. i still haven`t read chapter 256 yet but what i saw from chapter 255 makes me wonder..
that serpico guy must be some dumb bitch if he really believes those weak ass pillars are going to have any effect on gutts.. these are just some gay tactics he is using there in comparison to last time where he really had it all planned out in a great way (sun behind and all that stuff)..

Maybe they are made of special materials which weaken guts.

Both of them actually exist in the same universe and a battle between them is not hypothetical. You're saying that we can't talk about the possible outcome of a Guts vs. Femto battle? Or that we can never talk about another fight in Berserk because it is a versus topic? Creating a thread specifically about something like that is questionable at best, but if a thread goes off-topic, then I see no problem with talking about it for a couple of pages.

Meh, I wasn't really talking about Guts vs. Serpico anyway. I was just commenting on why I think it's possible for Guts to actually lose against a human and why I think that Serpico had the upper hand in the last fight, that is all. Other members that have posted in this thread are only voicing their opinions on this upcoming battle. Stop getting your panties in a twist.

However, a bit of patience will very easily reveal the outcome of Guts vs. Serpico. Also, what bugged me wasn't really that discussion, it was "Guts is the strongest bla bla", which IMHO is pretty lame. To me Guts is somewhat a tragic figure, not an ego-boosting superhero, so I don't need to find out whether he's the strongest, as long as he survives somehow.

I would love if there was a human as strong as Guts cause ever since he beat Griffith there havent been a human who could fight him equally.

I would like to see a human that makes Guts fight serious but that might not happen anytime soon his main enemies are monsters,demon etc.

^^ might be correct, How long was the second Gatts vs Griffith duel way back then. it only took 1 swing

Back after some time and so much has been written I'm too lazy to read it all.

Concerning the upcoming battle: I think that Guts won all encounters against Serpico so far. The first time they met Serpico tried to take Guts by surprise and nearly lost his foot. Second time he had everything set up perfectly, but had to retreat. If you set up such a trap and yet have to flee, something went wrong. Now same game again. I think the only chance for Serpico against Guts is if he puts his life on the line. Serpico hasn't done so far. He always fled when it got dangerous unlike some black swordsman who doesn't even know the meaning of fleeing. There is the big gap between them IMO.

You forget a very important thing. Serpico knows Guts a lot better now than before. Earlier he was surprised. But now he could have planed this battle more ... perfectly. He is a great strategist!

So what even if he plans something its not like he have seen Guts real strength cause Guts havent need to fight seriously for many years.

I don't think the fight will end this fast. And maybe there will be someone really strong with the Elf King. Maybe not a human nor a "monster".

I would hope it would be Guts's role, maybe there will be a person who could alter the Bersker Armor so that it makes Guts that way.

He's seen him fight an Ogre during the troll thing and he's seen him use the Berserker armor too, so I'm pretty sure he's aware of his fighting capabilities.

If you were going into a fight against... well, Gattsu in all his infinite ability, wouldn't you be searching high and low for some sort of advantage? God knows, you'd need it. Serpico isn't stupid.

I just wonder how many pillars Gattsu will go through before the ceiling starts to fall, and Serpico has to call time-out so they don't all die under a collapsing castle. ^^
