I played the demo, and while there's nothing really wrong with the game, I'm just not into those types, but I'm glad you're enjoying it.

I'm also enjoying Ratchet & Clank Tools of Destruction at the moment. Best jump and run/gun I've played in years.

really I'll prob try to get that in 3 weeks. Since DMC 4 comes out. I think I might end up getting that for 360. Then there is Lost Odessy in a few weeks. So I'll grab another ps3 title at some point and I guess I'll try out bladestorm then.

There's a Bladestorm demo in the PSN store you should try out. It's a faithful demo of what the whole game will be. And the genre of the game itself might not be for everyone, but if you like RPG/RTS with hack & slay thrown in you're good to go.

So its like the Kingdom Under Fire games that came out for Xbox then?

@Starnum: I got the PS3 for bluray, MGS4 and Final Fantasy. Thats basically it.

Yes, I'm looking forward to FFXIII as well. Also, the DivX codecs that allow you to watch anime on the PS3 is another big feature I like about the system. That, and even if the PSN isn't as good as Live, it's cool to be able to play games online now.

How so? while xbox live has been around for a long time, so that it is able to work out the bugs, but seriously though, the ps3 online services are perfectly fine. It has a buddy system that is just as workable as Live's, provides a store with demos, videos and games. Okay maybe there arent any movies, but who rents them from live?

Cod4 is the same as the xboxlive, Warhawk and UT3 are just the classic style of entering a server, ala PC style. (Which btw is completely hilarious, because both SCEA and midway provide dedicated servers for free, while xboxlive charges you money and doesnt provide any servers.)

Is there any x360 that has servers? Honestly i do not know, but so far from halo, cod4 and gears of war online, its just p2p connection.

This just giving the positive side of psn, while not perfect, does work very well. xboxlive is a very nice feature, but i have to pay money for the service? PC gamers were introduced to Live for windows (xboxlive features on the pc), they laughed and moved on.

Yeah, I have no complaints with PSN, and the fact that it's free is the best.

You can't compare Live to PSN.

Live has been, the past few weeks notwithstanding, a robust, rock solid console online service that is worth every penny.

And of course people are going to feel underwhelmed by Live for Windows, PC gamers have been playing online since what? Doom?

A watered down version of Live for PCs is a stupid idea but Live for consoles is still fairly cutting edge.

completely agree that for consoles currently it is top notch, but in time, espically once Sony Online helps out, the PSN would beable to rival Live.

If PSN stays free and manages to integrate their online services into their games better it could rival Live.

It just feels like they're playing catch up at this point.

And let's not even mention Nintendo here.

Their online service is a sad joke.

Let's exchange Miis!

Woo-hoo!

Based off of the games that are out now. Sony really doesn't have to bend over backwards to catch up to live. You figure by the time something like MGS 4 comes out. They will have major online updates as well I'd imagine. with each big release that is an exclusive.

Say what you want about Xbox live but they did a masterful job of building the system around it. Its pretty much useless to have 360 without XBL.

Quoted for motherfucking truth.

A 360 without Live is like half the experience.

I definitely won't argue with that.

Also, keep in mind that MGS4 will come packaged with MGO. Oh, I'm so going to pwn you guys. :P

I played the DMC4 demo, now I can't wait to get a copy of the game. It reminded me of how much I like the series. Though I haven't touched a DMC game in a long time, so that helps too.

I'll be interested on what you guys think. Just bought myself a HD-TV, so I'm now looking to get a PS3....mainly for its Blue-Ray player. But would definitely get DMC4 for my first game when I get it, assuming MGS4 is not out yet.

Not going to lie, Sony said back in 2005, that the ps3 will be the single most multi-functional hardware that would be vital to anyone's up to date home theater. They are soo right. Ps3, with blu-ray, and its optical for speakers, internet use, and media storage. Besides your tv provider, the ps3 does it all. all that for under 500 dollars? wtf, the best buy anyone can make. The audio optical basically means, no need to purcase a freaking thousand dollar reciever. This is what i have set uped at my place. Of course you can somewhat do that with a 360, though extra accesories would have to be bought to complement the 360, and push its price over the 700 dollar range.

Live Free or Die Hard on Blu-ray felt like each bit of the movie was brand new to me once again. (even though i saw it in the theaters twice before).

Me too. I don't know the demo looked alot crisper on 360 as compared to ps3. I really didn't understand that when I was playing it. But I won't make a decision until this weekend.

@Half - under $500 huh? I hope you aren't mentioning the 40 gig. I heard thats just a waste of money. If you're going to play the game you might as well get the 80 gig. After taxes and BUYING the HD cables (what a joke that was) you will be spending well over $600. For the $80 gig.

Yeah, if you're going to get a PS3, get the 80 gig. The 40 gig is a waste, and you'll only hate yourself later for getting it instead of the 80 gig. :P

Wait, DMC4 is coming out today? Damn, I didn't realize it was coming out already. I'm gonna have to check that out. Can't wait to get my own copy.

i dont see how i wasted money on a 40 gig? i could always replace the hard drive. Oh no i dont have BC, i still have my ps2 that runs flawlessly for that. Honestly i never spent any money on HD cables, I actually use the xbox elite's hdmi, or my tv's hdmi (came with the hd cable), same shit. but seriously hdmi cables arent expensive. So in my case, i only sent 400 bucks and got uncharted with it.

My brother bought these.. http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited- ... 774&sr=8-2

and his is working prefectly fine.

the 40 gig still plays blu-ray and ps3 games, so how will i hate myself later? I just wanted a ps3, i found the best price.

Well, I guess if you're not worried about backwards compatibility, then it doesn't matter. My old PS2's had one foot in the grave for a long time, so the BC was an important factor to me. *shrugs*
