He is the reason i started reading comics for real, dissing him near me wont do any you good ;)
Whoa.

Chill out, man.

I'm just saying he directed the first one too, that's all.

Quentin Tarantino directed one scene (the car scene with Dwight and the dead cop) and he was on set for a single day. He really doesn't deserve a lot of credit for that movie.

I agree about Tarantino people act like he did the movie, specially his fans when it was Miller and Rodriguez.

Flew right by me.

Don't get me wrong, Frank Miller did some good stuff in the past but these days he's nothing to write home about.

There are better artists and much better writers than him out there.

I agree about Miller now is wasting his time with bad comics, parodys which isnt his strong suit.

When he writes and draws his usuall work, there are very few who can compare to his skill.

Write about your fav writers and artist in the comics thread ,im kind of interested to see your flavour.

Yeah, Wolf Creek was as bad as Hostile, disappointing. I know bitches are stupid, but I get tired of that being the only routine in these slasher flicks. If the writer doesn't want them to get away, then he should come up with something witty to keep them from escaping, not just showing how retarded they are *sigh*.

im trying to find the proof, but i heard that this movie had the biggest budget ever, or maybe it just had the biggest budget for being under a DC logo... not sure.

DC needs to get on the ball and get a Batman and Superman movie, i think that will own.

This movie has been rumored to be one of the most expensive films ever, with a budget of $250,000,000, but director Bryan Singer recently debunked the rumors claiming it is "a little lower than $200,000,000".
sorry about beating you to it.

They are cartering a space shuttle to Krypton to do a shoot of Superman's birth...

Anyway something to think about when you think about superheros, Superman is the only superhero who is trying to be normal person, all other superheros are normal people trying to be superheros!!! Got that from Kill Bill V. 2, never though about it like that until then.

Kill Bill vol. 2 is an awesome movie.

Superman still sucks, though.

A lot.

Frank Miller co-directed the first one too.

Didn't Quentin Tarantino help direct it too?
yeah he directed 5 seconds of the film and got paid bagillions of dollars for it

Actually he did it for free, or nearly free. He and Robert Rodriguez are buddies and Rodriguez offered to do the score to Kill Bill Vol. 2 for a dollar, if he got Tarantino to direct a sequence in one of his future movies for the same price (Or something along those basic lines). When RR got to do Sin City, he called up Tarantino and Quentin did it. For anyone who is curious, ignorant of the fact, or like being reminded things, the scene QT directed was when Dwight is driving Jackie Boy to the Pits and they have their "conversation ."

Isn't Nick Cage supposed to be the new Superman?
Femto wrote:The Silent Hill movie was terrible.
NOoo! Don't say that. *weeps*
Well, I still need to see it to verify these claims.

Deathbringer wrote:Hostel is fucking awesome, ´nuff said.
I don't know, I didn't think it was that good. Mainly because they made it seem like we were going to see true hardcore, Berserk style torture, and it was mainly weak bullshit. If I hadn't had the expectation to see some raw shit, I might have liked it more.

What did you find so bad about it?

Acting, dialogue, storyline, you name it.

- They build up Pyramid Head throughout the whole movie and he amounts to nothing in the end.

- The husband character (forgot his name) contributes absolutely nothing to the story.

- The Silent Hill games are sublte in their horror and the violence was just unnecessarily excessive in the movie.

- Didn't even come close to having the atmosphere found in the games.

- The last 30 minutes or so were the same "here, let me spell out word by word what this whole movie is about" that we see in every single stupid anime.

- That huge cult thing kills the "I'm alone in this strange world" thing the games do so well.

I really could go on.

I guess the music was alright, and Pyramid Head was cool too, despite having nothing to do with the story.

People say it's a good video game movie and I agree with that in places, but that's just proof that there shouldn't be movies based on video games at all.

Just keep both mediums away from each other and spare us the crappy video game movies and the even crappier movie games.
