Have you ever known Guts to back down from what he wants? If he wants to talk to Farnase, he is going to talk to Farnase. So Serpico lied to Guts about another fight not being nessecary and then challenges him, that just not right.
He is mysterious, but not necessarily unpredictable. He was only saying another fight was unnecessary because he was hoping Guts would leave, but know another fight is necessary. The situation has changed, not his opinion. He didn't want to fight Guts unnecessarily, but now it is necessary in his mind. I actually saw this fight coming to some extent, since he wants to protect Farnese, so I would not necessarily call this fight a surprise or unpredictable.

Never would have thought Serpico would fight just to keep Guts away from Farnase. I my opinion Guts is the only protection from the evil in the world now... but I could see Serpico wanting things to go back to the way they were. Although what will happen to him if Farnase gets married?? If I were her husband I would not want him hanging around all the time.
When Serpico and Farneze first joined Gutts' party, Serpico told Gutts that he would kill him if Farneze ever stopped following him. I think Serpico is just following up on his threat.
Guts is protection from the evil, but so is sheltering. If you look at it the nobility are not suffering in any way, they are not being raped or attacked, they are protected. While she is living inside the castles and such she will be much safer than if she was with Guts. Also Guts can go berserk and kill her.
There is a chance that they are not related at all. The mother could have had an affair with some other man who got her pregnant with Farnese. It was not uncommon at the time, and she did look like she probably did do that alot. The chance is very very very slim though. If they are related which is probably the case, its ok if you live in the south. COUNT IT.
Yes, they are half brother and sister. I was saying that there is a chance that Farnese's father is not her biological father. Her mother could have been knocked up by some soldier she was doing at the time or something. That was what I was talking about.
I feel like I am being dangled by a string that is being hang from Miura's finger. Do you think he likes the amount of time he is given to finish a chapter, or if he had the resources he would be finish quicker?
That is reasuring I wonder if he has an email or a site that he responds to. The one question I would ask will is what we could do to help... but of course he would be taking time out of Berserk to talk to me so there goes that idea
