I thought the PSP was going to be a strictly 3D machine, but they're pushing a lot of new 2D games into it, i.e. Exit and this Loco Roco. I guess they're cheaper to produce, but I hope this trend continues in the future.

And god bless Capcom for all the 2D stuff they're putting out on the system. I'm sold on Goku Makaimura and Maverick Hunter X, and I might get SFA3 eventually. I hear it has a tag mode. Image

Dont tell me SFA3 is gonna come out on PSP?

If so its beyond awesome. I want some fighting games on PSP and there cant be any better than SF.

Can you name more 2D games to PSP if there is some?

I have become 2D fan lately thanks so my friend who have alot of NES games and other 2D games on his comp.

I am not a huge fan of SFA3, but if it has a tag mode......

That will be some sweet shit. When is all this stuff gonna be launching?? Any idea?

There is a game making tool that added support for the PSP. The games also work on firmware 2.0.
Until now I didn't try it, but I'll do.

Now that you mention it, I have no fucking clue. I'm so fucking excited to see that we're getting a new Ghouls 'n Ghosts that I don't really care if it gets released two years down the road. I think SFA3 is getting a release in Japan in December or something though.

As for other 2D-type gameplay games on the PSP, well, I've pretty much mentioned all the ones I'm interested in. There's the two Megaman remakes, Extreme Ghouls 'n Ghosts, SFA3, GGXX#Reload, Mizuguchi's Every Extend Extra, Loco Roco and Exit off the top of my head. I wish they'd bring that Tales game or Breath of Fire 3 overseas though, the PSP's RPG library is really lacking quality titles IMO.

that means...

you can down grade from 2.00 to 1.5 and play homebrews. You can also go back and update to 2.00 at anytime. I heard this thing was pretty legit. I might try it out, i got a few homebrews worth trying.

I downgraded to 1.5 and then upgraded back to 2.0.

I'll wait until they can get homebrew running properly on 2.0, the better video compression formats on 2.0 are worth it. If they had a full speed SNES emu I'd probably change my mind, but they all suck right now.

You mean the SNes9x Mod by TYL?
It's nice my brothers PSP is now filled with my SNes Roms. It's really good because the PSP has the "same" buttons that the original SNes controller had.

But yeah it will be cool when the homebrews work fully on 2.0.

Wait, does that run at full speed? Or close to it even? I tried a bunch of them and not one of them could run Contra 3 at full speed.

Got any links?

It runs in full speed I think. It's the best SNes Emu atm. I'll send you a PM with a link. You can change the processor speed and frameskip etc. too.

You know why it runs at full speed? Because Snes9x > all other emulators.

On the PC, at least. :kekeke:

Yeah it is. But there are different versions of SNes9x for the PSP and the TYL one is the best atm.

Classic Pack 3 for Wipeout Pure was released today for those who care.

zomg trojan virus for teh psp zomg

http://blogs.washingtonpost.com/securit ... virus.html

This article made me chuckle. It has a low level of 1 (ranging from 1 to 5) but they say it "deletes system files and renders the machine inoperable." So...yeah...

Made me chuckle as well back then when I found out that Symantic has an antivirus for Macs.

That virus was probably made by an extremist nintendo fanboy.

Legends 2 is supposed to be the beez neez. I want to get both X-Men Legends 1 & 2. I want to see how good Magneto is in Legends 2, as well as Juggernaut.
