I just watched Spider-Man 3. I'll refrain from any spoilers.

It was awesome. While it's not as good as the first two, it's still really awesome. There were some plot points that bothered me a bit, but as a whole, it was awesome. Looking at the villains part, I was worried they tried to fit too many villains in a film, but it worked out.

It's really worth watching it. However, if you expect it to be the best out of the three, then you will be disappointed. This is not the black sheep of the movie trilogies (like X3 for X-Men), it's a very enjoyable ride. Don't get your pitchforks about the movie not being true to the comic. It's not a masterpiece, but it was very entertaining. The fights alone were brilliant.

I've heard (read, actually) that the first half of the movie is awesome, almost perfect. But suddenly the movie gets a little weird, and have a few WTF moments.

I'm gonna see it anyway, and probably will love it anyway :)

I just don't know if I can get past Peter Parker's emo haircut I saw in the trailers. I almost cried in the theater when I saw that.

Ah well, I'll be seeing it anyway.

What annoys me is that they really spoil the fuck outta the movie with the trailers. Its bizzare, they show way too much. Movies in general do these days, if its action movies it doesnt matter, but showing key scenes lenghtly is stupid.

But in Spideys case its not troublesome because one knows his story well enough to get spoiled, even if they change alot in the movies.

That´s so fucking true, in television alone i watched like 4 diferent trailers of the movie when i had already watched the first 3 trailers on the net.

I feel like i watched half the movie already.

The trailers are 3 minutes each. Even if there are 3 different trailers with completely different scenes (which there aren't), you'd have seen only 9 minutes of the 2 hour movie. Sure, there were SOME key points of the movie that was shown, but they didn't give out anything much at all. All it gave was the story outline, and no spoilers. Anyway, there aren't exactly any 'spoilers' for a character like Spider-Man; that's like saying that King Kong died in the end and Jesus died in Passion as a spoiler.

However, if you feel that you've seen the movie based on the trailers, then don't watch it. Also, I'm not quite sure why the 'critics' are panning it so badly. It wasn't made to be a masterpiece, it's an entertaining film. Don't listen to what the critics say, (mostly because they're retards) which it for yourself. Like I said before, the action scenes were awesome. Fuck the story, it's from a goddamn comic book.

As for the emo haircut, he didn't get the haircut because he was emo. There weren't many scenes where we see 'emo Parker', so it's safe.

Which is exactly why i don't watch trailers, i avoid like they are plague.

About the movie being the best of the three i knew a long time ago it wouldn't be. When i heard of them putting so many famous villains in one movie.

It wont suck at X3,they are too good for that but it reminds me of that.

Which is why this time i don't expect anything great. I will go and just enjoy the ride aka the fights and some decent story.

The SUIT LOOKS THE MOST HORRIBLE THING EVER...... i still cant understand how they can manage to destroy the coolest suit and the simplest suit of them all.

I mean its only black with a white spider.

Screw them and their fugly lined suit....

I knew you'd say that. Don't be so conservative. The white and black probably doesn't work too well in the film. Be a bit open-minded. It looked good in the movie and it worked. Next, you're probably going to say that the Venom in the movie sucks because he doesn't have the tongue.

Jesus no, i´m pissed at the huge quantity of trailers out there but i was exageratting when i said that i felt that i watched half the movie, i don´t doubt that the fights will be awesome and i´ll definitly watch the movie, i don´t care for critics reviews because they take these super heroes movies so fucking serious, like you said, it´s a god damn comic book.

Venom i wont care much for in the movies. He is my fav villain in Spidey comics and i wont even bother to judge him in the movies. Topher just simply isnt even near Brock so i wont care to even say if he sucks or not.

The Symboite is CGG,surely they cant mess that up ;)

I just dont get it they have done the other suits well, but the best one they just must ruin totaly.

How cant two simple colors like that not work in a movie?

Even if they changed it they could have better than this crap they use now.

You do realise that in the comics, when Brock first appeared in the pages of Spider-Man, he was not incredibly built as he was when he became Venom? He had a physique like Peter's, so I think the Topher Grace was a great choice to complement Tobey McGuire's Parker.
Libaax wrote:How cant two simple colors like that not work in a movie?
You'll have a tonne of critics arguing how the white came onto the suit, when the symbiote itself is completely black. I think the symbiote emulating itself as a black version of the Spider Man suit worked.

Are you one of the people who complained about Green Goblin's appearance in the movie? And with Doctor Octopus' being different from the comic's? Don't be such a purist. I don't think you would enjoy this movie if those in mind.

My opinion of the movie is the exact opposite of Eldo's. Spider-man 3 is a horrible movie.

I wasnt talking about Topher's build. I just dont see him acting like the sicko Brock became.

About Green Goblin and the doc, i actually liked all the suits so far except the black one.

I even wrote this in my last post to you "I just dont get it they have done the other suits well, but the best one they just must ruin totaly. "

I am only purist about one thing and thats the black suit.

I will enjoy the movie, i know it. The only thing i excepted to better was the Black suit and i knew months ago how it looked. So i wont be shocked and disappointed when i see it in the movie ;)

Spoilers

Spider Man 3 was good. Something about the movie's plot just didn't sit well with me. Like Harry's butler, who i guess has been with him all this time, just coming out of the blue with all this information about the truth of his dad and what really happened. Why couldn't he have done that earlier? The way the symbiont entered, all random and out of the blue, was ok with me. Some people complained about it, but I'm glad they just got to the point with it. Harry and Spidey teaming up was cool, but i hated that he had to die after all that bull crap. Best actor in the movie was Bruce Campbell. Everyone in the theater laughed at Parker when he did his emo thing for the first time. All in all it was an above average hero movie.

End Spoilers.

Can't wait for Bruce Campbell's new movie "My Name is Bruce".

Rich and creamy correct shit though. Remember when everyone was saying that Leonidas only screamed? Yeah, they were wrong.

Yes Darken my favorite parts was the Goblin fights and when Parker thought he had mad mojo.

In my eyes:

Spidey 2 > Spidey 3 > Spidey 1

The entire plot with the Sandman (and to a lesser extent Harry) was handled flawlessly. His exchange with Peter at the end was very touching. Venom should've been left for the next movie because they didn't do the character justice.

The best scene in the entire movie was the Sandman trying to pull himself together after the experiment. Great, great stuff.

Hey man.

I'm fucking loving these Spider-Man movies.

I don't even know how many times I've watched Spider-Man 2.

I've dissected every single shot and every single line of dialogue in it.

It's fantastic.

Not without it's issues though.

I thought it was an awesome film, although it was the weakest of the three (not saying it was bad, but it wasn't as good as the first two). I'm not quite sure why people are bagging the action films, I thought it was awesome. I would have liked some things expanded on, though.

While I agree that Venom should have been left for the next movie, but when I think about the premise of Venom in the comics, it wasn't exactly the best story I've read at the time. The suit was necessary, because it showed how relatively easy it was to beat down his enemies compared to normally. If the suit wasn't included in the story, people will think, 'oh look, it's just the same old tired storyline, Spider-Man on his own beating up villain X. We've seen this before in 1 and 2, and it's a complete rip off'. Those critics will find a way to hate the movie anyway.

When I watched it, there were parents who brought their kids along. Some of the babies were crying and shit, and it irritated me a bit. Most of the other kids started to cry when Spider-Man went 'evil', and started screaming. Stupid kids. Some spoilers below:
Spoilers wrote:Yes, Bruce Campbell was awesome. The 'naughty dance' with Peter was...cruel with dark humour. I knew Harry was going to die, he died in the comics, and his face was all fucked up. I have to admit the team up was pretty cool, but I was a bit skeptical about them joking around with each other. Another problem I had was how Harry 'coerced' MJ to break up with Peter, no explanation to what Harry's threats were bugged me a bit. As for the symbiote, at first I was a bit disappointed at the random scene, but I was glad they didn't spend that much time properly explaining it, otherwise it would have taken away time from the movie. And the scene with Sandman gathering himself up was goddamn awesome. I think it's one of my favourite scenes in the whole movie.

just caught Spidey 3 and liked it.

Gwen Stacy is alive... I wonder for how much longer. *grin*

She is hot, I mean... Ron Howard's daughter. hah. Perfect casting if ya ask me.

For those living in a black hole, Gwen Stacy was Peter's first girlfriend and the two where to be married. She was killed off in the 70's, galvanizing MJ's character from care free party girl to steadfast friend to Peter that later developed into relationship.

You forgot to mention that she was killed by the goddamn Green Goblin.

And also, everything about or related to her in a story arc from the comics in 2004-ish is a goddamned headache. Femto knows. I burned those issues. The art is pretty, but the story wasn't.

spiderman 3 sucked more dick than a free french hooker. okay maybe it wasnt that bad, but it was a complete joke. I couldnt help but laugh at it or cringe in awkward pain.

spoilers:

spider man kisses another woman?! what the fuck is that shit. thats dumb ass shit. and what about "I loved your father harry" i couldnt help but burst out laughing at that shit (and half the movie theater followed in suit). and was i the only one who thought venom talked like this "tho im going to kill thpider man by thetting a trap with mary jane in a car...THUPER:kekeke:!" i dont know why you're all giving this movie such great reviews. ya i did laugh a lot at it, some at appropriate times, such as when emo peter decided to show up harry's apartment, oh wait that probably wasnt meant to be funny. what about when peter decides to do a john travolta impersonation. He's supposed to be a bad ass, but he just looked like an idiot and a lot of those girls looked like they agreed. I'll give you that some of the movie was pretty good, but the fact that so much shit was laughable just makes this movie bad in my eyes. I may have been affected by the fact that the only people who said it was good are on this forum while the rest of society i know hated it
