The other characters. I call them tag-alongs, and I stand by my opinion in not liking them there, sure they protects Caska, but what if/when Caska comes back? Will they still have a place, will the comedic relief be needed? I don't read Berserk for comedic relief, I want the gore, the violence. Berserk up until god hand had little comedic relief, but it was beautiful it was what made us continue to read, I don't believe its needed. Solo Gutts is awesome.

I don't know what the hell you're talking about. The rest of Gatts' crew isn't only there to protect Casca. They all have their own reasons for why they follow him, and those reasons aren't based on Casca. You need to go back and re-read this shit or something. Solo Gatts would just be the same shit all over again. It's called plot and character development, and it's a good thing, deal with it.

Just like Starnum said, Casca was easily the best swordswoman (:P) of the Hawks, which is saying something!

I'm quite curious to how Miura is going to solve the dillema between her and Gatts (it's spelled Gatts btw, here in Brazil - the official comic version). Will she only stop hating him after the heal? Before? Not even after?

As for the other guys in the crew...how could you hang around reading Berserk is something like the last 10 volumes were just these chars development and their interaction with Gatts?

I love their chars, and no history can go as long as Berserk has without plot and character development!

Of course, the gore and guts are cool, but not pointlessly thrown at us.

You just like to think that Wylde is Zodd´s brother just for the hell of it, there are no proofs, not even hints that may relate them as brothers, you have no ground to base those theories of yours.

This seems to be the most outstanding quote "by Gatts". He said that when spotted griffith on the sword cemetary near Goto's home, and before the fight with Zodd. I think this is my favorite one...

Ahah! Some one didn't believe me on a certain quote. I wasn't absolutely exact, but I got the idea, and it's a translation anyway. I finnally found the page, it's volume 22, chapter 8, page 176.

I agree to an extent. It only makes sense if he's talking to something like an apostle or some other kind of entity he dislikes. If he talked that harshly during regular conversation with his crew it would take away from the grwoth his character has made. You don't talk that way to your family

But hearing talk that way to an apostle reminded me that Guts is a bad mother fucker that takes shit from nobody. I haven't gotten that feeling from straight up dialog in months (possibly even a year).

Goodess he seems to have gotten up solely for the sake of talking trash...
