Thats beyond cool.

I was smiling like crazy when he said " Im in here just to see you break and become like me" to Matt . :D

I was worried that another writer would get Frank wrong but Brubaker did him good.

Have you read the DD before that issue? Brubakers run has been amazing so far.

Bendis and Maleev run from 20 something in vol 2 was good storywise but the art is the best i have seen in superhero comic in a very long time.

Let me know when you have read thier run what you think about it.

I know.

I fucking read about it in today's newspaper of all places for God's sake, went to the comic book store immediately after work to buy the comic.

Fucking blew my mind.

I'm not even going to say which character it is, but man... this is big stuff.

Really big stuff...

so nobody is keeping up with the Marvel Civil War?? This is a huge event, stay on the ball or everythign might be spoiled. This is a summer event, so if you do any summer reading, i would say this is it.

i have not read civil war #2 yet. so remember not to spoil it!
=P

my guess is that some major supporting character died. just like in daredevil where foggy died and in punisher where micro died. not that these occurrences have anything to do with civil war.... but it looks like a trend.

i just got up to date with the latest daredevil prison arc. its very good. lotsa talking but the point is the drama/suspense thriller of the story not the action.
i ll get round to reading the whole vol 2 later.
=P

I was talking to a friend of mine and he thinks Iron Man is going to become a bad guy when Civil War is over.

That'd be kinda interesting, but that would mean Cap is right and Marvel has said they will not be taking sides.

Spoiler tag please :P

Im reading road to civil war right now.

I dont like big events so i wont buy the event mini only those civil war tie ins like Wolverine,Spidey etc who i already read and like.

Punisher Civil War comic i might get when its out.

Eldo: This is a reply to what you said in the other comic thread that was locked.

Vertigo are sadly not so big in sales except some of the big classics like Watchmen,Sandman,Preacher ,Transmetropolitan etc

Trades are selling pretty good cause of the classics but the single issues sales are pretty bad for Vertigo, its hard finding a vertigo comic in top 100.

For example 100 Bullets who is very big in among the fans are selling not so good just cause people dont know much of Vertigo.

The best books i have read have been from Vetigo Preacher,Transmetro,V for Vendetta etc

remeber though, Iron Man and Tony Stark are two different people. I'm just going crazy right now of what could possibly happen next. And if you didnt notice, Cable had a line in the comic, he is on Cap's side.

thats the check list of everythign that will relate to the Civil War.

Actually, they make have good sales with TPB which compensates for it. I've taken a look at the TPB sales figures before, and they well, particularly the ones for Sandman.

Heh, I knew Spiderman's costume won't last. They just want to give him some hyped up suit for the Civil War.

I just read Civil War 2.

SPOILER!

I think Tony is an idiot and Peter is his lapdog to give up everything he has fight for his hole life just cause of a law suddenyl says he is a criminal. I agree with Cap,this law is crazy and the ones like Reed and Tony who are behind it arent not the ones who have a secret life to lose.

What Peter did in Civil War, i cant believe he did that. How are they gonna make people forget his real identity is what i wonder.
I cant wait for Cap beating the crap out of them and what the hell is DD doing outside jail. This means he escapes.

*MORE SPOILERS*

You should read Spider-Man 532, it explains the reasoning behind Spider-Man's decision much better. He chose to reveal himself but the truth is, he didn't really have a choice. Iron Man knows Spider-Man's indentity and Parker didn't really know if Tony Stark would respect that if he chose to go against him. On top of that, if the government finds out Spider-Man's identity, they will go after Mary Jane or Aunt May for helping him out and we all know putting closed ones in harm's way is the last thing Peter wants. He was ready to flee the country and get a new identity too, but MJ and Aunt May actually talked him out of it.

I thought the decision was handled very craftfully. It was very believable.

I also knew it wasn't the most sensible one, and if you saw that Civil War #5 cover you can see why.

*Even More Spoilers*

Of course i read 532 and i understand that you shoulndt run away but he can protect his family and fight the law if he wasnt so afraid that Tony would think bad of him for not joining his side.
I saw the cover of CW5 and thats why i thought he would be on Cap's side to protect his identity for his families sake but apparently he doesnt care.
Tony i can understand cause he has nothing to lose but PP....

He only did this cause Marvel wanna sell more with this "shock".

I don't know about that.

Knowing how terribly they've fucked up Spider-Man in the last few years, a part of the thinks that this is the nail in the coffin for him but a more hopeful side of me has a more positive outlook. Think about it, Spider-Man is an interesting read because everything is always against him. That's why he's appealing because he never gives up even when nobody cares if he does. Now add "every villain and their mother knows who I am" to the list of problems for Peter. It'll get only worse for him and that's a more compelling read for us.

Also, in his situation, Spider-Man is actually protecting his family more by unmasking than by being a fugitive.

Oh well, there's always Ultimate Spider-Man.

Spoilers

Tony Stark is not doing anything wrong. He believes at this moment that the government and the people have loss their trust in the superheroes. Stark believes it's his duty to tell the people that superheroes are there to stay and protect. Though i do disagree with the whole public gets to know their identies. The government should be the only one that needs to know. Also who gets to decide when they are above the government? This allows the government syste to still work, if the Cap and his gain win this, then where the hell will the government go, since they pretty much believe that they are above the law and should be nobody's lap dog. As for me, i side with IM, partly cuz laser>everything else, jk. People want the act to fail, i want to see what would have if it succedes. Plus, the whole spiderman thing, anyone thinking about the clones? well thats all i have for now.

Ultimate Spiderman is horrible....

In short term this arlight but in long term its not good for PP.

Also MJ is famous acteress, they will eat her up the media that is.

PP didnt think through this, his gut feeling told him to run but he let Tony and May change his mind in a subject he knows much better than them.

ok i just read civil war #2. so it turned out the spiderman cliffhanger continued into this comic instead. its definately a groundbreaking moment.
that #5 cover truly is spoilerific. looks like peter is gona get it real bad this time as usual. you do the "right thing", you get your ass whooped.

must be a happy time to be a villain now. not only is half of the hero community outlawed now, but the other half plus the government are busy trying to bring them down.

He is the actually the only marvel hero to grow old.

When he was new and his family died in 76 he was 30 something which means he is 60 now. I think Max Fury is even older.

Max Punisher is the best comic i read of marvel right now, Garth Ennis really get Frank.

Have you read Born,Tyger and The Cell ? Three must read comics for Punisher fans all written by Ennis.

What did you think about the writer? Do you think like me that he really gets Frank?

Also vol 3 and vol 4 done by Ennis is a must read.

I'm not too happy with the way Bendis butchered Deadpool and his run on the Ultimate X-Men. But Ultimate Spiderman is better than the current ongoing series. He writes a tonne of text, goddamn.

One thing Ultimate has on amazing that it that he is young again.

JMS is 10000 the writer Bendis is.

Bendis couldnt even make young spidey interesting longer than a min and he ruined two of the best villians in MU, Venom and Carnage.

I lost all hope for ultimate spidey after he ruined them.
