speaking of vagabond, i read an interview in some manga collection called the masters of manga and inoue was in it. He talked about slam dunk, vagabond and real. So because of that, i need to start reading vagabond again.

Which manga collection was it?

I wanna know what he said about Slam Dunk?

The ending of Slam Dunk is only big mistake he has made in my eyes with his mangas.

Vagabond is a masterpiece, specially Artwise it kills everything even Berserk.

Just read Vagabond, it's a masterpiece, even better than berserk. I was a bit turned off at this title because it's a samurai-genre, but it kept absorbing me with it's great art and storyline. Anyone knows if the novel it's based on is translated in english?

Its called Miyamoto Musashi. That is what it is based on. The manga collection thing that is featured in is called Manga: Masters of the Art. They dont ask him about the ending of slam dunk but i wish they did because i too thought the ending was horrible

Its a given that book is named by Musashi by the writer name is the diffrence cause there are 100 Musashi books who claim to write his "real story" The one Vagabond is based on is the best according to everyone.

The writer's name Yoshitoka or something.

Slam Dunk's ending was beyond crap, ending when it got awesome.

We really never get to our fav get to shine.

Is slam dunk any good? I've heard about it and it's from the same creator as vagabond, but I heard it's longer than berserk.

thanks to you guys... who keep mention vagabond... i picked it up and found it to be very very entertaining.

its not just the fighting.
the character development and inter-character interactions and psychological aspects of the plot also are very well done.

i just finished the whole series till vol 20.
looks like the last few vol were pretty draggy. the fights were lasting forever and it was probably just a 5 minute fight and it spanned a few vol. the mangaka had writer's block or something.

i am reading 20th century boys now.
very suspenseful. its a lot like monster. only the plot is more diverse and colorful.

edit: i did a little research and found that the creator of both 20th century boys and monster is the same person. no wonder i found the plot to be similar.

Don't want to be an ass but Ichigo 100% is certainly not one of the best shoujo, quite the contrary actually. The drawings can be somewhat enjoyable at the beginning (that's probably what save the manga altogether), but that's about it. Go read I's, MUCH better.
Does anybody know about Sidooh? Yanime release it, only 3 chaps so far and pretty slow, but the concept is great and the sketcht drawings are cools..

Currently reading "Shamo", not that good of a series really, sometimes theres big jumps in time between the chapters and the drawings could have been better.
Still I read it so there must be something I like :P

Read 3 volumes of "666 satan" until I dropped it, didnt find it amusing one bit. Corny story.

Gonna read the two new chapters of Ippo now :D

Isnt ichigo 100% ecchi? And yes, it isn't one of the best... I still prefer goldenboy, but lately it turned into hentai :? (not that I dont like it :P ) But there is less story development in Goldenboy, pity.

Monster is really a great manga, im still reading it cause I just started a few days ago. The story has much plot. Even though that kinda of story isn't really my genre, I still enjoy it much.

Shamo is awesome, really realistic and dark. Where are you storywise?

Hehe 666 Satan is crappiest shonen ever, the mangaka is a bad clone of Kishimoto of Naruto....

I dropped it after a couple of chapters when i saw how lame it was.

the mangaka is the twin brother of naruto... thats what I read once. I wouldn't say 666 satan is the crappiest shounen manga, I think it has potential... not that it's being used.

It IS the crappiest shonen manga i have read and has no potential at all.

I heard he was a brother of Kishimoto and when i saw the same bad art style i knew for sure.

I´m at chapter 75 when is comes to Shamo, so almost fight time between the two champions. It´s gonna be interesting for sure :D

666 Satan sucked so badly I almost got nightmares from it.
Was almost as crappy as "Death book" which I alos dropped after 2 volumes.
And I also read in the first chapter where the author has written he´s narutos writers twin brother. Atleast Naruto had a somewhat interesting story at first :P
