Am I the only one who finds Blood+ to be atrociously animated when it comes to everything except the fight scenes?
Then again, the characters are relatively uninteresting and downright annoying in the case of Saya's brothers, so I suppose I should be happy less manpower is directed toward the "character & plot advancement" part of the show.

haven't heard of that one, but vampire shows should be checked out, so I'll look at it, too.
Meanwhile I'm rewatching Gungrave, and I must say it doesn't get any worse on the rewatch. Possibly some things even come off as less annoying than the first time, like that damned moroseness of the main character, or the idiotic "orcmen", which happily won't reappear for a while where I'm at now.

yeah, i heard gungrave was pretty good.
uh, i am watching/starting to read GANTZ. it was supprisingly good. ( i got to the mid-beginning of the 2nd season) although its shonen to the core, with annoying female characters, i liked how the male characters turned out. and i liked the splot of course. i had started gun frontier and elfin lied a while back. i liked gun frontier, but elfin lied had too much of the chobits thing going on(chi?). --1st ep. was good though.-- but im far too poor to get any more anime for a while. T-T

Watched Blood+ 6, very good ep, although I found the character work on Saya a little strange.
Watched GxS 10 and 11, I really don't know why I'm still watching this, there are only about two or three good moments in each ep. Well, the plot is getting somewhere finally, so I think I'll still continue. Damn.
I've finally gotten X the TV-series, and started watching that.
Gungrave is one of the best animes out there, it surely deserves its top spot, although I would have liked it if they had distanced it even more from the console game it came from.

Watched the first episode of Jigoku Shoujo -> dropped it
Watched FMP - Second Raid 13v2 -> did this series end now?
Watched Trinity Blood eps 19 - 21 -> waiting for more episodes
Watched the first episode of Ginga Densetsu Weed -> waiting for more episodes
And about Gungrave... Well it was good to the point where Brandon became Beyond the Grave then it went downhill

Yeah I see your point here, and I agreeBrainpiercing wrote:You guys are all too harsh. What really bugs me about Blood+ is not the lack of hardcore-ness, but the purely generic character work they are doing on both Saya and her family. In fact aside from parts of the plot the show hasn't been one bit innovative.

heh, I'm currently downloading Gun Frontier on the recommendation that it is an uber MANLY anime, and utterly ridiculous. Sounds like fun ^^Fuji Nagase wrote: i had started gun frontier and elfin lied a while back. i liked gun frontier, but elfin lied had too much of the chobits thing going on(chi?). --1st ep. was good though.-- but im far too poor to get any more anime for a while. Other shows I'm watching range from older to new ones. GITS SAC (1st season), Eureka 7 (the raws anyway, subs are too slow), Noein, Yakitate, Mushishi (very good atypical anime, imo), and Kino no Tabi. And then there's the usual staple of my anime diet, One Piece, followed with slower paced subs of Snow Queen (anime adaption of a Hans Christian Andersen story), GUNxSword, Karas, and a few more I can't think of.

I cant decide either if it sucks or not. When the mechs comes forth it really stinks. But otherwise its pretty entertaining I think.Brainpiercing wrote:Honestly what do other people think about GunXsword?
I really hate it when I can't even decide on whether a show sucks or not.
Have you seen "Prayers" yet ? You should check that out, have the same dilemma there if it´s any good or not.
But I think I´ll get a pretty good idea in 4-5 episodes
