I know who henry the 8th is. I was just asking if thats who you got. Oh and not all of his wives were killed. I think it went like this....divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. And i think that he started up the Church of england. if thats the same as the angilcan church. Im not that into the christain religions.

I'm pretty sure the Church of England is the Anglican Church. I believe that when the religion went to other countries it started to be called the Anglican Church because people in Canada, Australia, States, etc. didn't want to be going to the Church of England, although its the same religion. Although I could be wrong about all that.

Its Episcopal in the states and Anglican in the rest of the world. England it is generally refered to as the Church of England, though I think it is technically still the Anglican Church. Also Anglican means english. That is why the rest of the world except the US uses Anglican. When the US broke away from England they changed alot of things, one of them being the name of the Anglican church.

Been awhile since such History classes but Charlemagne if I remember correctly was a Frankish King who conquered what was once the great Roman Empire, which had since been broken into 4 territories. He was also heavily Christian and influenced the religion very much building churches everywhere. Joseph Smith was the founder of Mormonism, you know, the religion famous for its polygamy in Utah. Someone correct me if this is inaccurate.

In modern terms protestant refers to Christian religions other than Catholicism. This would include the Anglican (Church of England), Baptist, Methodist, etc. You are correct that Martin Luther was the major force behind the protestant reformation which is also called the Great Rift, referring to when Christianity split into its many different modern forms. As far as protestant churches while they do outnumber Catholic Churches in most countries, that is only when you combine all the different protestant religions. Catholicism is still the largest independent world religion.

I knew that it was strange that i had never heard of angelic church before cause is only a part of protestant church.

I found it funny. Makes me think of Family Guy where god goes Jesus Chist when he caught a bar on fire, and then Jesus jumps in the room.

Also its Anglican not Angelic. Lutheran is what you are thinking of, and it is mostly eastern and northern europe. France, Spain, and Italy are still primarily Catholic, though Spain does have its fair share of Muslims too, since the lower half was controled by the Islamic Empire for some time.
