I think it is wonderful that Miura takes his time on everything and with great artistic skill. Some of them are truly great pieces of art and I enjoy staring at every minutia of detail.

As for donates, I've thought about... and no, no monetary donations. However, feel free to help encourage this place, flame the n00bs, and keep it real. :P

I was thinking since the dukes of midland have no king and are fighting the kushans to gain back their land. Will Griffith ally with them and defeat the kushans, and than wed the last of the royal bloodline "princess charlotte" to become king of midland or will he defeat them all. The appearance of that creature means something is going to happen. It would be a major plot twist if griffith did show up to ally and gain there favor, it makes sense that he would ally with them at some point, because destroying them would mean less of a kingdom to rule, but that would put guts group and the Vandimon family "Farnase" at odds, not to mention more resistance for guts.

You can put that idea back in your ass now, from whence you pulled it. :P

As for the donation thing, as much as I could use the cash, no thanks. It's not about money or personal gain to me. I just want to provide good quality...*sigh*

the kushans probably want everybody at the ball death. All the important people of midland are there and when there is no noble to lead the army they(the kushans) will defeat the midland army easly

the catthing is probably kushan

Thank you kindly for the new release. Also, I think that the Kushans would definitely be interested in taking out the nobles and merchants present at the party (they are the people who are funding the Midland armies). But, I can't help but think how convenient it is for Griffith that an even larger power vacuum for him to capitalize on would be created by the absence of the nobles.

Griffith wants a kingdom, he wants people to rule over. It woudln't be much if a kingdom if there were barely any nobles.

Didn't read earlier posts on the topic but donations are not for gain though.

It's about paying for servers, having people buy & scan mag/volumes, and sometimes paid translations when really needed etc... Aka, simply allow to bring more releases and make it easier to get. Staff members should normally get nothing... (but at least won't have to pay for anything either, thanks to donations ;p)

On a side-note, we've had donations for ages.. not sure how much though. They go to lucky's paypal ;p

I removed the donation button from the tracker's page though, didn't like having that there after all (moreover with the tracker getting more popular and serving more and more licensed things).

Anyway.. off-topic

This is an Internet Forum dedicated to flame. Well in the last days there are more threads to be flamed again, so it's true somehow.

In feudal systems whenever there is a change of leadership, the old nobles usually lose their lands, the new leader would then install his military commanders as his feudal lords (good way to ensure loyalty). For example, when William the Conqueror took over England he got rid of all the old Saxon nobility and installed new Norman lords.
Also, as for Griffith's motives they aren't totally clear yet but being that he is a God Hand I think that he will continue to have Apostles as his main lackeys.

You know, you guys just never give Serpico a chance. He's just being an opportunist, he sees the perfect place to fight Gutts in, and decides to cash in his rain check for a battle.

yeah i bet when gutts bout to decapitate him, serpico will be like "nooo, dont kill me! im sick already! my sister is farnaze and i wanna sodomize her!"

I will agree that it seems a quite shady for Serpico to call out Gutts now, espceially since there is a possible Kushan attack. Maybe Miura needed some filler and was just like "Hmmmmm, yeahm, I guess I could stall for time and have Serpico fight Gutts now. I can get a good chapter, maybe even two, off of that battle"

Serpico haters get on my nerves sometimes. I think he is a really interesting character, and still very mysterious. He is so clever it's scary. I can see how many would mistake his bland facial expressions for a bland character, but if you really feel that way then I think he has you fooled too. Truth is, I get the feeling he is calculating and extremely observant, far more than Guts, and Guts is pretty sharp for all his brawn.

Serpico knows how to wear a mask that drops the guard of most people who interact with him, and the only reason the mother of Farneze could see that he is in fact so twisted is due pretty much only to his long devotion and association with Farneze, who is twisted in an obvious way.

Many of the more slow-witted among you joyfully and inanely point out how Guts would win in a fight with him, especially at full berserker rage w/ armor, etc., but that is completely besides the point to me. Think about it this way: who else besides apostles has ever challenged Guts one-on-one knowing what kind of a fighter/beast he can be in battle? The list is pretty short, I think, and that in itself is telling of Serpico. He is either really brave, smart, stupid, or all of the above. Also, give Miura some credit peoples. Do you really think he would just pit Serpico and Guts in a fight for no reason?

Sigh, why do I even bother explaining this though? If you haven't heard or thought of this before, I pity you.

(Don't get me wrong though, I love Guts. But Serpico excites me almost equally with his potential and genius)

Drat, good point.

I mean, most of his apostales would make much better nobles than the current ones.

Oh yeah, rather than greedy lords, let's get guys who EAT PEOPLE into power. This just worked wonders when The Count was in power.

Something to ponder, and feel free to call me a heretic. But how is Griffith part of the god-hand now? Griffith was transformed into Femto, the fifth god-hand. When he was reborn back into the natural world as Griffith the Hawk of Light, it seems to me that he is no longer a God-Hand. However, he is on the same level as Guts in that he can traverse the Interstice.

You can argue that once a god-hand always a god-hand, however I think in being reborn back into the natural world, he doesn't retain his god-hand Femto powers.

Well, the Apostles still call them their lord and whatnot, and I don't know if Apostles would just give out that title to someone who wasn't a Godhand, or super-powerful, or something.

You heathen.
