Speaking of Spam, what music do you guys like to listen to....oh what do i like to listen to you ask , Well i listen to whats good. Mostly i find myself listening to more Hip Hop oriented music. Although I believe that mainstream is going down the drain as every day passes. Underground is the way to go. Jmt, immortal technique, etc. ..

I haven't really listened to mainstream music in about 7-8 years. The new music that comes out in North America is garbage and I find myself looking to Japan and Europe for good music like JRock and Heavy Metal.

jotaan, have you heard of this japanese metal band called "Melt Banana"? They have a female vocalist who sings pretty damn high and it clashes with the guitars so its amusing.

buzkashi, I was thinking of starting a thread asking members here what they listen to, but I might as well follow the flow of this thread. I personally like many genres but the main ones i listen to are metal, techno, and trip-hop. Some bands i like are Tool (my favorite of its genre), Kyuss, Portishead, Radiohead, Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin, and so on.

Never heard of them, most of the metal bands I listen to are either Black metal from Norway or Power Metal from all over Europe.

I've actually lost interest in most metal since I've heard it all and there hasn't been many good releases in Europe lately, aside from Ensiferum's new album. I'm getting into a lot more of stuff like Radiohead, any anime OST done by Yoko Kanno, Porno Graffiti, Borknagar, Orange Range, Asian Kung-Fu Generation, X Japan, Gang Starr, Rip Slyme etc.

Well I like Radiohead, Powderfinger, Whitlams, Reguirgitator...

for me Asian Dub Fundation really does it
their rythm is so fast
i also like linkin park, u2, coldplay, almost every anime OST, Da weasal (portuguese hip-hop band), rammstein, and almost every classic music from the great composers
