AGGGH!
So good!!
By the way, top-notch cleaning on these, it's really impressive work. Thankfully you guys are up to the task, 'cause Miura's illustrations are starting to get thermonuclear hot. I'm continually blown away by these recent episodes, and thankful that I don't have to wait five years to appreciate them.
I really can't wait to see these pages in print, though... they're just brilliant!

That was my favorite part when Zodd saw Guts and they made eye contact. That reinforced mine and whoever just said that bit about the Guts/Zodd combo. All through my mind while reading I was thinking Guts was going to yel lto Zodd to grab him and throw him at the Emperor once they found the part of the body of the avatar. Many ancy feelings which can't wait for the next release inside my mind! And yes, it is quite odd to see Zodd getting pwned by the emperor but there has got to be a reason for it, I'm thinking Zodd's making strafing patterns through the emperor and ordering the other apostles to do likewise in an attempt to find the part of the emperor which is like the water snake Guts fought and Serpico severed the snake. I can't wait to see what happens! ^_^
That's right!! Another pointless post by me bitches!!! HA!

Spectacular release guys, my many thanks.
I'm really baffled by Zodds expression on page 9. There is no fire in his eyes. He looks like a warrior who knows he is about to fight a hopeless battle.
Guts on the other hand absorbed everything he witnessed there with great interest. Watching the emperor in battle, he could form a strategy, or find a weakness and use it as an advantage that Zodd never had...I wonder if Griffith was sitting back doing the exact same thing? Testing his prey before going in with a full attack and sacrificing one of his best warriors to get results. He's done that before hasn't he?
Heh, maybe i'm just thinking too deep here.

Not just Guts, I can't think of a time when he sacrificed any of his best warriors (not counting the eclipse, where he sacrificed them all). But I do really wonder what Griffith is doing here. It isn't like him to commit his warriors to a battle they can't win, and you'd think that as Femto he'd know about the Emperor's powers, so he must have some sort of plan, but I have no clue as to what it might be. The dissipation strategy doesn't seem to be working at all.i dont believe he has sacrificed he best warrior ever...cause he never once sacrificed guts . I think guts may have been on to something whne he thought that Zodd was trying to dissipate Ganishka. Definitely looking forward to what is going to go down in the next chapter.

Possibilities for the assault:
1) testing Ganishka to create a strategy; Maybe so that Griffith can defeat him Personally and Flawlessly in front of the innocent population. the reason the Hawks were so successful was perfect strategy, and so far Guts is still the only one who we've seen make him bleed in a fight. he may want to keep it that way.
2) a Distraction similar to the one Griffith used to rescue the Princess. Hell, maybe it was a rescue mission for Guts and Zodd just faked a spectacular loss to get to Guts and try to pull him out of there.
Any other suggestions?
btw. i was refereing to the sacrifice made at the eclipse.

A really great chapter.
Thanks for the realese guys.
Chaos:
Nr.2 sounds crazy cause why would Griffith need Guts when he has neo hawks apostles who one of them almost killed Guts the last time they fought...
Plus if he needed Guts for something he would send Zodd or anyone else earler after Guts.
I am thinking most likely they are trying to find a way to defeat Ganishka,Zodd woulndt do what he is doing if it wasnt for that.
Or Griffith already told him how to defeat Ganishka and he is following Griffiths orders.

I'd say that this town holds no interest in impressing the innocent population since it's mostly slaughtered and flooded by soldiers. However getting rid of Ganishka has to be done by Griffith in front of a big croud, later honored by the pope by making griffith an emperor. Guts is of no meaning for griffiths plans, even if he kills apostles. His plan is rescuing casca right now anyways.

Testing him to find out his weaknesses (if any) does make sense, and may very well be what is happening. The only problem I have with it is that it seems to me that Femto (as one of the God's Hand) either ought to already know the Kushan Emperor's abilities, or be able to find out very easily. Frankly, I'm pretty sure that the reason the Emperor was made an Apostle in the first place was to give Griffith something to fight so that he could rescue Midlands (and maybe several other countries, who knows?). That would also explain why the Emperor is so powerful, since for such a plan to work, the threat would have to be great enough that no one else could possibly overcome it.
