Australian TV in general is a piece of shit, and Channel 7 is the worse of them all. It cannot be described in words, but it's pretty damn terrible, with its news on current affairs and some other 60 minutes wannabe show. Their programming of shows are simply terrible. It's a wonder why they're the current number one channel by ratings right now, mostly due to Desperate Housewives and Dancing with the Stars.

I noticed there are subtle racism in their programs, some instances like a commentator in a sports event bagging a Chinese tennis player how she must learn the country's language fluently before setting foot in the country because that is the polite thing to do (she was playing against Alicia Molik, an Australian tennis player in the Australian Open). In their 60 minute wannabe show, they examined how immigrants (targeting Asians in particular) are allowed and accepted in the country without speaking proper English, and 'we show you where they live'. They won't miss an opportunity and target an Asian if they get the chance. These are just some really simple examples. They are incredibly bias and tries to milk the National pride in anyway possible. I have boycotted Channel 7 completely because of this and other reasons.

They're kinda like the EA of Australian television then, they make money but everybody knows they're pieces of shit.

That part where they shoot the execs makes a lot more sense now and is all the more entertaining.

That character you showed is indeed from Powerstone but I don't think that is the character being spoofed by the third octopus. I can't think of what character he is supposed to be either.
