i second that!apostleofzion wrote:I'm from India. I knew of berserk only last year . i was searching for it in the p2p nets but it was only anime .and it was very hard to grab it . atlast a friend from irc gave u'r site . Thanks is a very small word to express the gratitude i have for u'r pretty good and hard work . But again thanks to each and everyone of the people lending their hand and money into this . . And all of us are surely grateful to Miura for such an impressive manga . its not really easy to get a reader into a novel world as good as berserk even though its fantasy.but sometimes in i find myself equating many people from berserk to real world and even the monsters can be also be pictured to real world people . It may be just me ! And i'm so happy to form a such a BAND from diff countries for berserk. U Mean a Lot to this Band ,Kudos .
Actually, those actions in this particular situation would have struck me not only as completely uncharacteristic of Guts, but also as kind of dumb. For one thing, Guts has never used his cannon as far as we know on any third-rate flunkies, ever (the only exception I can think of is the first time he used it, when he didn't even know what it was). It was always reserved as a kind of last resort when the tougher apostles only had a relatively small opening to be hurt or something very similar. As for the repeater crossbow, despite it's small size and speed of use, it is still essentially a distance weapon. That means that in melee fights such as the most recent one, Guts would leave himself and the others far more vulnerable if he relied on it, because there are simply too many enemies that are too close for it to be used effectively and safely. For shorter-range melee type encounters, his sword is pretty much the ultimate weapon in his hands.Suislide wrote:also what happened to his repeating crossbow and cannon... he never uses it anymore... it would have been sweet to seem fire abunch of arrows into that crowd then swing his sword and turn and fire his cannon through abunch of guys
ah i see your point on his weapons, its jus that i felt like he hasnt use them in so long it seems like miura forget about them.Wandering_Mystic wrote:Actually, those actions in this particular situation would have struck me not only as completely uncharacteristic of Guts, but also as kind of dumb. That said, though I kinda thought it was over a little too quickly as well, I don't think such a scenario will repeat itself too excessively. I think once Guts faces a true apostle-caliber enemy, even a summon from Schierke won't be a deciding factor in the outcome of the battle. In such cases, I think we can all look forward to some juicy moments of Guts back in teh spotlight.
If anything, now would almost be the perfect time for such an enemy to appear too, at least in terms of excitement and believability. Because Schierke is already spent, and if such a strong enemy actually appeared before everyone could get on the boat, the only one to stand in its way and buy time for the others to find and board the ship would be Guts. I am also still wondering how Ganushka will react, since Schierke has basically single-handedly crippled his invasion front, at least from the current look of things (and for that matter, how all this affects Griffith).
Whichever way the story goes, I am still excited to see what Miura throws at us next.
yeah, tracker server likes to get reset... sorry 'bout that, this thing is hosted in Georgia and I have little say about when it gets rebooted, which is a shame.Quest wrote:hmm i am getting a 'connection refused'. is the tracker alright?
I agree it would have been cool to see more of the Guts massacre. On the other hand, I did think it was kinda cool (though totally predictable) that he's out in a wide open space against hundreds of opponents and he's doing fine, whereas all the other fighters are being overwhelmed trying to hold a narrow street. Just helps reinforce how awesome Guts is.Other than that yeah that battle was over too quickly... needed more guts swinging his sword
Or how dumb the Daka are if they are just walking into his sword swings.Istvan wrote:I agree it would have been cool to see more of the Guts massacre.
