Well if Xavier dies who will keep the whole X-men team going?
I mean, he´s the one with all the monies

Probably not, since Thunderbird wasn't really important enough to make an appearance. He died on the first mission. Or was it the second?Tempest wrote:I suspect if aynone was to "die" it would be Wolverine or Jean, or maybe they'll pick up Thunderbird if they really want to get an X-Men who actually dies.
Yeah, that's debatable. He's fought in both the world wars, so he's definitely over 100. He's regained his memory in recent issues, and the world's government are burning papers regarding the Weapon X project. Wolverine's got them riled up and he wants vegeance.halfnhalf wrote:Remember though that wovlerine is older than Xavier, supposedly he is over 200 years old and his mutant powers of healing.
Actually, Jean Grey did die, but the phoenix force didn't. They retcon it later by saying that Jean Grey was found in a bubble underwater or something crap like that. That was after Cyclops married Madeline Pryor, a clone of Jean Grey.halfnhalf wrote:In the later series of the comics Phoenix, never died, but left the world so that she wouldnt harm anyone.
Lies. Nightcrawler is pretty much alive in the recent issues of X-Men.halfnhalf wrote:If i remember correctly, Night Crawler died in a space ship (or was that from the cartoon series?)
I thought that was the worst X-Men arc evar.halfnhalf wrote:We could always wish for Onsalught...
You're probably talking about Avalon. I don't think so though, they're probably talk about Genosha if they have to mention a mutant haven.halfnhalf wrote:Now i also wonder if they are gonna lef the whole asteroid thing happen too, where all the mutants live on Magneto's asteriod that circle's earth...
Nope, not true. Cyclops is well and alive right now. There has been some 'alternate universes' and 'What ifs' where Phoenix has killed Cyclops and the X-Men failed at killing Phoenix at the trial.According to a X-men comic reader in dynamite glove Phoenix kills Cyclops in the comics. Also you see Wolverine finding his shades and then you see a big funeral for an X-men cause all of the X-men were there. After that you see that Phoenix has joined Magneto.

Second mission. First mission was to save the original X-Men (Most of whom woudl later become X-Factor) from that wierd living island. The second mission was facing Count Nefaria and Thunderbird jumped onto a plane he thought was being flown by the Count. It was a decoy and blew up, killing him. I just thought when I mentioned him that the writers might actually kill off a mutant, so they might as well use one who actually dies in the comics.Eldo wrote:I'll let my comic geekiness make this reply...

Oh, and halfnhalf, I wouldn't talk shit about Vinnie Jones. He might be reading these boards, and he's a mean looking fucker. He'll kick you and your mom's ass just for looking at him funny I bet. Besides, a CG Juggernaught woudl look retarded with an entirely human cast. If they can do Nightcrawler, Beast and Mystique with real actors, I think they'll be fine with a live Juggernaught.Wikipedia wrote:Wolverine's early life has been revealed gradually over time. Wolverine's time as a captive and subject of the Weapon X project has been revealed as a period when he was entirely at the mercy of feral instincts due to severe physical and psychological trauma inflicted upon him by the program. He was their agent, their ultimate weapon, along with his future archnemesis Sabretooth. Next, Wolverine lived on a Native American reservation with his former girlfriend Silver Fox, whom he thought had been killed by his enemy.
Finally, the story of his childhood was told in the miniseries Origin. He was born James Howlett, the son of wealthy Canadians John and Elizabeth Howlett in 19th century Alberta. He was a sickly youth, therefore his father hired a girl named Rose to take care of him. They were joined by a third youth, Dog Logan, who will later become James' bitter enemy.
Elizabeth's first son was believed to have been born a mutant and killed by the Grandfather Howlett. This traumatic experience caused Elizabeth to be locked away in the attic of the Manor for some time. It is revealed that she had an affair with the groundskeeper of the Howlett estate, Thomas Logan, a man who looks exactly like the adult Wolverine. Years passed and she eventually gave birth to James Howlett.
Thomas Logan's son, Dog, would later attack Rose and cause Thomas to be fired. John Howlett, however, later found Thomas with his wife and questioned him. In retaliation, Thomas Logan killed John Howlett. James' mutant powers, particularly his claws, emerged when he discovered his dead father and the murderer. With his new powers, James killed Thomas Logan and scarred Dog. Elizabeth, having lost both her husband and lover, chose to commit suicide.
Due to his alleged killing of his parents, James was exiled by his grandfather and became a nomad. He was brought to a British Columbia mining colony, where he grew into a strong and ferocious worker. He also adopted the name Logan and acquired the nickname of Wolverine.
Three years later Dog tracked him down. Forced to remember his painful childhood, Logan fought Dog savagely. Logan had gained the upper hand in the fight but as Rose attempted to prevent the killing of Dog she was impaled by Logan's claws. Wracked with grief over the death of his true love, Logan spent more time in the woods with wolves, where he feels more at home.
Much of Wolverine's origin still remains a mystery. It is unclear how much Wolverine recalls about his past, as his memories have been extensively tampered with, both by the Weapon X program and his healing powers.
I've read Origins, and I'm not too sure if it should be considered as the real origin for Wolverine, or just some other side story with no relevance to the main Marvel Universe. I'm just ruling it out as the latter.Tempest wrote:Also, we do have what appears to be an actual canon explination to Wolverine's origins.
Because, it's too risky to invest in him... He looks like he'll explode and die any minute now.http://www.bodybuildbid.com/articles/bo ... on/bic.jpg
They should have bought him some acting lessons and make him juggernaught.
Yeah, welcome to last year when they announced the cast. C'mon man, try to keep up, what kind of geek are you?Femto wrote:Woah, woah, waoh...

Vinnie Jones is playing Juggernaut?!
What the fuck is up with that?
Amen, brother.Eldo wrote:I thought that was the worst X-Men arc evar.
Word. The whole pocket unvierse thing was stupid. That's why I don't like Scarlet Witch and Mr. Fantastic's kid having "reality shaping" powers with no limitations whatsoever. While "House of M" was/is pretty cool, in the hands of the wrong writer it's just "kill somebody, bring them back, change this a little bit, now change it back to work." If you want to see heros getting the shit kicked out of them by an unstoppable force go read The Infinity Guantlet and cry as your favorite Marvelites get PWN3D.Khelegond wrote:Amen, brother.Eldo wrote:I thought that was the worst X-Men arc evar.
Hated so fucking much. The old "kill everyone, then have everyone come back later on" was ridiculous. SIMPLY RIDICULOUS! Of course, that is my opinion, and you may disagree
