Hehe. Nice comic MrJotaan.
Freedom Force was another great underrated game. I'm looking forward to the sequel that is going to be released soon.

Id say a really fun party game that doesnt get as much credit as it deserves is mario party, i liked it.

yes yes yes yes yes!Malvado wrote:Not to jump in your convesation but Stabbing Westward=the great!raziel wrote:ketheric: yay another dreaming fan, did you listen to stabbing westward? i actually pmed you a while ago about this.
poor christopher just got hit in the face by a snowboarder after he fell and had to get stitches and his teeth put back in place.

anyways..... Castlevania: Symphony of the Night was a beautiful game that didn't get very much credit.

raziel wrote:relax, we weren't going in depth about the game, so I opted to use a casual well known phrase (mobile suit) since this is a well known term(s) and that basically describes what it actually is. sleek looking mobile suit like bot = orbital frameStarnum wrote:It's called an Orbital Frame, not a Mobile Suit. It'd have to be from a Gundam series in order to be an MS. The OF in Z.O.E. was named Jehuty, by the way.
Malvado: too bad, Stabbing Westward was underrated on a different note.
I am relaxed...I was just making sure you knew that. Most people don't you see. I hear people say mobile suit all the time, but they don't realize that's a Gundam exclusive term. *Shrugs*
Another underrated game was Bad Mojo. Most of you probably never heard of it, but it's a game where you are transformed into a cockroach and run around amok in gritty places like sewers and pipes! Not for the faint of heart, there's some fish that leaps out of the water and giant spiders that may scare the hell out of ya....
Oh, and let's not forget Shadowrun.

I was thinking about this game the other day. Definitely a lot of fun. Always nice to play a 2d platformer every now and then (yes, it was 3d but it played like a 2d game)raziel wrote:no need to make sure, im not writing an essay on mobile suits vs. orbital frames.
another one: Wild 9 for ps
Suikoden is my favorite series. While 4 is by no means a bad game, it's most likely the weakest of the series so far. It doesn't help that a lot of the fan service was lost by making it a prequel set so far apart from the the rest. I want my returning characters.

I remember when I first saw Valkyrie Profile mentioned in a magazine. It looked and sounded incredible...But no hype meant I forgot about it. Then I found the intro on the internet. Couldn't find the game in stores and forgot about it. It took me too many years to finally look for a copy and buy it. Definitely a game worth the wait.
Here's another good one: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Fairly fun, but I could not find another soul to play this with.
Seeing as how some games mentioned received excellent ratings but went largely unnoticed by the general public, perhaps the thread title should be changed to "Underappreciated games" ?

I'd say Rez as well. The perfect blend of music and imagery yet in a video game.
And The Zone of the Enders is NOT underrated, the game just isn't that good. The music and graphics are awesome, and the controls are tight, but for the most part it just isn't fun. The boss fights are just horrible. It's not that the game completely sucks (some parts are really entertaining), but it's not really underrated. At least the second one isn't, I haven't played the first one.

Geez, did me correcting you bother you or something? Perhaps you are the one who needs to relax. I was simply trying to help...
femto: sad to see you think zoe isn't underrated. i thought it was different from the usual type of games.

I had both of those games. I beat Berserk a while ago but it doesnt work anymore and my Rez game just stopped working after the 4 or 5th level.Gaiseric wrote:I gotta go with Rez. It didnt have amazing graphics, but the gameplay, style, and music were great. Very unique and fun game.

The top 5 most underrated games for me are:
1. Guardian Heroes (Saturn) - Sega (best beat'em up game of all time...look at how much it sells for on Ebay!)
2. Valkyrie Profile (PS) - Square Enix
3. Omega Boost (PS) - Polyphony (Gran Turismo guys...Best rail mecha game EVER!!!)
4. Guilty Gear (PS) - Arc System Works
5. Ikaruga (GC, DC) - Treasure[/b]

I agree with Guardian Heroes, as that game does indeed own. However, I don't think Guilty Gear is underrated. Valkyrie Profile is a good game but I would not call it number 2 on this kind of list. And I can't say I am fond of Omega Boost.DarkenRahlX wrote:The top 5 most underrated games for me are:
