I like the simple, one of the reasons why I like darksky so much because it is clean and straight to the point without all the fluff. It is small too, not that many graphics unlike bbtech, bblite, xeon, and specially zerospace.

simple is sometimes very good.

I only hope that it hasn't been used a lot in the world, unlike dusty green.

well, i made a demo of DarkSky... it isn't fully functioning yet. But i made some quick icons, so no more crap white icons for 'friend' and 'ignore'.

Also, the ignore function really works now, where the dude's post is... you see a bar that reads "this post was ignored, press X to remove ignore on this user".

The colors are going to be edited, have no fear and the logo on the top is a place holder till Laik and I come up with better stuff.

Right now, we just want to see what the look and feel is like and thus far I have to say, I like it a lot.

So, in order to demo modified 'DarkSky', goto your profile and change over to the 'DarkSky' style. You can change back, no problems.

Things todo:
*finish CSS changes to get it Evil_Genius theme/colors
*finalize logo
*hack in spellingCow support
*hack in quickpost


This by no means that we are going to use DarkSky, however I think after some modifications, it will be BITCHEN! Enjoy.

SOOO you are adding darksky to the other themes or does this mean you are editing the template so we can vote on the templates again? *Adam is confused*

I'm using Dark Sky right now and it looks OK I guess. It lacks that extra oomph and is quite boring to look at. It's easy enough to see where new posts are at, so that's a plus over BBTech.

I like the color better, but it has low contrast. Quotes are difficult to read and the medium gray text could/should be darker. In addition, I don't like the lack of gutter. I like about 1em or 5-10px..

I wanted you all to vote for the 'feel' of the forum design, not necessarly the colors because those can be hacked.

I like the DarkSky template because it was not cluttered, clean, and sharp looking without the endless need for graphics like bbTech, bbLite, Xeon, or zeroSpace. Don't ge me wrong, they looks cool.. but they are harder to modify.

Laik and I are working on the CSS and topmost image to get the contrast up and the color scheme stablized and looking uniform for all of mindwerks.net.

If anyone would like to hack up the other templates and give me the CSS, I can add those as well to test. No need for revote yet, I'm still playing and everyone still has a chance to pull an upset victory over darksky should they like the other templates better.

I know some of you like the lighter forum, well I will try my best to get the forum bright as possible without hurting my own eyes. The Fiancee and I both like the 'rainy day' theme in Windows... so, i know it isn't a gender thing.

I usually hate light backrounds but Chunk is seriously the shit. No joke.

No arguement there, I think it is the best of the selection.

Using DarkSky and its pretty Pimp actually, yet some of the text is hard to read cause I am kinda blind and wear glasses but overall I am loving the darksky template.

I updated CSS, the template is shapping up pretty well. Still working on logo art however the gutter or (forum ident from sides) should make the forum look much nicer. Used 10px space. Also changed a few font colors and background colors to make the quotes readable. Did the same in tweaking most of the forum to the whims of mindwerks!

Any other suggestions are welcome, keep them coming.

Laik came through with a cool and redone forum logo at the top.

No quickpost or spell check (big hacks), until it is decided that we go with template. Please gimme your opinion. Should the found be less blue and more white?

What do you think can be done to help readability?

I like the diabloish text on the buttons.

I have been using Dark Sky lately, and if the rest of the forum goes with this, then I will. It is pretty good function wise, and the color of the text is perfect IMO because there is no strain what so ever when reading the forums. It could be prettier, but I think it is a pretty good template thus far.

I just wish the spell check button was working, I love that thing!

I voted Chunk ,the others are bad iether they are too dark or too light.....


Man i will miss Aelous so much cause it kills all these new ones.

Quotes could be a bit brighter, but it works fine as it is now.
