MvC2 is the first game in the vs series that only has light buttons and fierce buttons. The only way to release a medium punch/kick is to press the corresponding button twice, or commit to a combo.
Ex. To perform an arial rave with, let's say, Magneto, press c.lk, c.hk, Triangle jump, c.lk, c.hk, hcb+hk, c.hp ^^ lp, lk, lp, lk, up + PP, lp, lk, lp, lk, hcb+hk, qcf+KK + Mashing.
Simple enough.
P.s. Oh, btw, when you press "lp, lk, lp, lk", MvC2 translates it into "lp, lk, mp, mk". That's how the system works in all consoles, as well as the arcade.
Edit: I just noticed your comment of Doom 3 > HL2, stating that Doom 3 has a... better story. Wow, that's even hard for me to say.
Saying Doom 3 has a better story than HL2 is like saying that a realistic-looking plastic watermelon is better than a real one. While the plastic one may look better on the surface, the truth is that it's just hollow.
Doesnt the arcade mvc2 has 6 buttons?? and no never really played mvc2, but played a lot of mvc though.
plus i never said doom 3 had a better story, i just meant it as never use hl2 story as a pro agaisnt doom3 because there was never really any story. I know doom3 has no story, it doesnt, because it tries to live to the original ideals of doom, gun gun, kill lots of things and wield big ass guns.
i guess what i meant to say... doom3 engine> source sorry if it got confusing.

About MvC2, you're right: It does have 6 buttons.
|O O O| lp hp assist-1
|O O O| lk hk assist-2
Still no Mp or MK buttons.
And with Half-Life 2, it's not so much a story, as it is an omnipresent world that's shown to you. It's an ambiance, an environment, and world ravashed that you're immersed into.
And HL2's Physics Engine > Doom 3's gameplay engine. It doesn't have the random scares or claustrophobic tension doom has, but the game makes you feel in your in a real world gone to hell, and that your actually in control of your own destiny. The graphics, in my opinion, are better, just because they're more lifelike. While Doom 3 pushes the PC a bit more, it just doesn't convey the sense of total reality that HL2 presents.
Character emotion and interaction kick ass on HL2, too.

Messatsu: Good man.
Nothing lies in my console at the moment, finished KotOR a few days ago, been playing Battlefield 2 since and I have just ordered Half-Life 2. I may try to get my hands on KotOR 2 in the near future, though...

I am currently re-playing Kingdom Hearts. Worst fucking game ever, and also one of the best I've ever played (it's complicated). I didn't find Atlantica nearly as painful this time 'round, which is a small mercy.
I actually died on the Maleficent Dragon boss, which I had not anticipated, having sliced through bosses and enemies alike like a sharp knife through warm butter up until that point.
Made me a bit sad, but then again, too much in that game is seemingly entirely random, including whether you survive long enough to cast Cure. She'll die tomorrow.

GC- RE4, man this game is hawt
GC- Naruto 3, a fighter unlike any other. Its amazing to see how they were able to make everything do exactly in the manga and anime.

haha yeah but 2 seemed a lot more balenced to me then 3. Well Crimson Skies is still in my Xbox or is it Jade Empire? Well they both kickass games with free roaming possibllities.

Well the reason why i guess 3 feels unbalanced is Itachi for sure. Either way this game rocks! Its the only true anime/manga video game that doesnt suck (there are some other good ones).

Oh crap I brought the game that reminded me why I don't hate EA 'Freedom Fighters'. A great game with beautiful music i got for 12 dollars.I rented it like a year or two ago and me and my cousin just went crazy trying to steal this gem from blockbuster. 8/10

Hexen in my N64, say what you will, I know it is not the best game in the world, but I like it. Reminds me of the good old days of playing this game in DOS on my old ass first comp.

Been playing som Half-Life 2; I disliked the original, and the demo of the sequel didn't exactly blow me away, but I figured I had to play it.
A friend of mine said that Half-Life 2 is all about the immersion, the suspension of disbelief- and looking at it from that angle, I agree. It makes sense. Too bad about the constant loading and the incredible amount of headcrabs, those two factors kind of ruin it for me.
Still, at 1280x1024 and all settings maxed out, it's worth playing just for the graphics.
Tomorrow, I don't go to Ravenholm. Again.
