Grahf, nice job man. But, what about Yoruichi, where is your femme fatale ava We've already seen her in the anime, I thought you would at least get an ava from Yoruichi-Soi Fong scenes.
Ruuppa, we've already discussed that in the earlier pages. Do you have good news to give... As far as I know, Cameron hasn't started shooting it yet.

I'm not too sure what I want. I actually lost most of my old pics because of a reformat. I'm debating wheter to stick with a Caska theme or to do something else.
I might actually try another Alita picture or something.
AS far as I know he also has done a one shot called Ashman, some story during a motorball event, but no Gally around though.

There's a trio of Alita side stories that Kishiro did that I don't believe have ever been published here.
One stars Ido before he found Alita. It's kind of sad, but it develops his character a good bit.
Another takes place after Alita quit Motorball and before Zapan destroyed everything. It's a pretty awesome sidestory about an assassin that targets Alita for a challenge... he can flick ball bearings with supersonic speed and incredible accuracy, essentially using a ballistic weapon without breaking the Scrapyard ban on guns.
And another story takes place when Alita is one of the Tuned, slightly before she meets Figure Four.
They're all pretty nice, I don't know why Viz hasn't released them. I found 'em on a torrent some time ago, I don't recall offhard who did the release, though...
i had tried to forget about the movie. im way to used to the manga and anime to stomach a live action. when it comes out, i can only hope for the actress to be at least a little good...
i had read ashman, (i think viz actually released it, but not a lot or something, ive only seen it once) and i liked it a lot.
im glad to hear that there are some more stuff by kishiro out there. i just dont want alita to be another FY.

Yeah, check out those side stories... they're a treat.
Viz did release his short Motorball story, titled it Ashen Victor. It was a four-issue release, and I don't know if they collected it or not.
Some fans of Kishiro might not dig it because he went through a major style shift during that book, unashamedly cribbing from high-contrast artists like Frank Miller (whom Kishiro readily lists as one of his favorite artists, how cool is that?) to create a style that's really unlike anything else he's done, almost entirely built on constrasting shapes and negative/positive space. I think it's pretty cool, but I'm glad he got it out of his system and returned to his line art illustration.
im not really into his super linetastic art. its kishiro, so i cant hate it, but u know, im the old BAA fan, so im partial. i like the stuff in the orig. BAA books. using contrasts of B/W in such an elegant way, not too much of just lines or shapes.
i didnt know frank miller was one of kishiro's fav. artists, how'd u find that out?

Looks like Yukito has done some other mangas.
"His debut as a popular Manga artist came in 1984 when his work "KIKAI" won the best newcomer manga artists award sponsored by weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. " And their some other work called Kaikosei.
Has someone heard of them before or has someone them?
