That makes as little sense as Buzkashi being straight.
For all we know the game is Japan only and you're saying import companies ship it a day early to the US?
It gets shipped the 21, but it's not in stores until the 22nd.
That's the release date.
I've never downloaded any console games BTW.
I apologize for assuming you did.
EDIT: Ignore that last line.

Dude I'm just telling you what the e-mail said to me.
I don't leech fighting games, but I haven't ever leeched other games either. I like to have the case and booklets.
And what I was saying is that In Japan right now, it's the 22nd of December and it's about 9 or 10 AM over there.
SO they shipped it on the 20th in America, but on that same day it was the 21st in Japan.

The game is released in Japan on the 22nd.
Regardless of time zones and shipping dates, that's the bottom line.

That's what I'm saying it's the 22nd in Japan today already.

Ruuppa wrote:Anyone heard any new news of the FFVII remake?
It's very likely that FFVII is gonna be remade. Nomura breifly talked about how when a remake is gonna be made, he will most likely be the one to direct the project. In the interview, Nomura said something like, Kitase wants him to be the one to do it, if it's gonna be remade.
He's busy right now with a few other projects so it will take a while for him to start working on it.
Even if he doesnt make it, it will be made some time in the future. Be it 10, 20, 30, 100 years .... it will be remade. There's no getting around that.

The last 5-ish pages, yes. What was there to read? Femto saying that there probably isn't gonna be a remake?
There is gonna be a remake. It's only a matter of time.
I know what I'm talking about, I know about the tech demo ... and all that so don't make a reply and say that I've mistaken the tech demo for the game itself. My info comes from an interview directly from Nomura back in September.

Well they throw that Tech demo around a lot. I mean come on you get it with dirge of cerbesus(sp)! They hinting to something but whatever now for the semi-important stuff.
Toys r us

You have quite a way with twisting thing around and pulling shit out of your ass.
Here's a transcipt of said interview, the remake part in particular:
Nomura wrote:The PS3 tech demo was actually not the perfect forum that he wanted to have. It was just timing that we had to submit something in time for E3, for the press conference. So, again, it was not perfect forum. And the 7 remake idea was always, always in conversation, just because it's so popular. And then just because of that tech demo here in the PS3 conference, that probably based more expectations of fans, obviously. And Kitase-san already has told Nomura-san so many times that if there is a remake, that should be created by Nomura. But, again, Nomura-san has so many other projects lined up already in the future schedule, so it's almost impossible to think about that and squeeze that in. But if there is a right time, it would be interesting to create.
I see absolutely nothing saying that a FFVII remake is coming.
Couple that with what I mentioned earlier regarding expense and overall length of the project and you can see why people that believe a remake is very likely are led by nothing less than ignorance.
Yeah, a remake might happen 10 - 100 years but I can also say that men will fly in a thousand or more years.
What the fuck does that prove?
Absolutely nothing.
Again, you're stupid and not well informed, so just shut up.

I swear, people say some stupid ass shit on this forum, but you have some personal vendetta against me for some reason. I'm more informed about this subject than many of the people on this forum. So could you stop it with the baseless flames ...
I may have twisted the truth a little since it has been months since i had looked at the interview but an FFVII remake is inevitable. The majority of SquareEnix fans want it more than anything else.
As i said b4, Nomura may not make it but it will be made.

The fact that you changed things around with that interview like you did means that you probably don't really know as much as you think you do. And don't assume that you suddenly know about this more than most people here because, as you've obviously proven, you don't really know a lot.
The FFVII remake is vaporware at this point. There is absolutely nothing but theories and hopes saying it'll happen, whereas it not happening is more grounded on evidence.
You have no proof but your lofty ideas and that's all there is to it. I've given you reasons why the chances of there not being a remake outweigh those of there being one. What have you put on the table?
And don't insult me by saying I have some vendetta against you. While you may think you're worthy of me obsessing over you, that couldn't be more far away from the truth.

The FF7 movie was all it for the fans, and no remake except little spin-offs like Dirge Of Cerebus and stuff like that. I don't think it'll be wise for SquareEnix to make a remake which the fans would bash if it failed to live up to the expectations (you know what fanboys are capable of), and they haven't really re-made any classical final fantasy completely for another system (changing gameplay, graphics etc instead of a direct port and adding some 3 minute movies)

As unlikely as a remake is right now, it'd be damn cool if they make one and make it right. Not probable, though.
Seiken Denstsu 4 seems nice, albeit the heroes look like kids.

Without doubt, a remake of Final Fantasy 7 would sell and that's pretty much the entire point. I mean even I would buy it and I still have my original Final Fantasy 7.
I'm too lazy to search through pages to find your arguement but are you trying to say that the profit that would be made from a remake of Final Fantasy 7 isn't worth the money and effort that has to be put into it?
You gave reasons why it's a chance it wouldn't be made but that's just as baseless as saying it's a chance that it could be made. It could contain extra stuff that people want to see, it would bring in a lot of money to SquareEnix, etc. I can definately say that the plus for making it would far outweight the negative. However, the fact remains that we'll never be certain. Perhaps you two should refrain from words like will and won't but instead just rely on saying maybe.
Personally, I rather see another Bushido Blade or another Vagrant Story but you won't see me complaining if they drop a remake of the game out.

I agree with you here. I would much rather see a Vagrant Story than another FF7 game.
How many times can they regurgitate FF7 and people will actually buy it? Fucking retarded.

Bleh. Hated Vagrant Story.
About the only reason I have to buy PS3 atm, is that there is a chance of a FF7 remake on it.
But Square should stop milking it's FF-cow, and make something new for a change.

I loved Vagrant Story. Although the first was FAR too short.
Bushido Blade was alright, but certainly not something I would spend money on to buy.

Vagrant Story was the Perfect length for its style of game and story.
I hate how the main concern among gamers now a days is weather or not a game is long enough.

Devil Summoner.
Anybody have any info on it? Like what kind of game it is and whatnot? Isn't Devil Summoner the literal translation to Megami Tensei?
There are a few
movies up on the official site, looks like an action RPG and I'm always up for that. That and my Kazuma Kaneko <3 has piqued my interest in this game. Seems like you recruit demons in the game and use them in battle.
It's also the first time I've seen pre-rendered backgrounds in a while.
