New avatar, first female one I've used, I think. I should have been working on one of my numerous assignments, but I decided to cut this out and make it semi-transparent, instead.

Yeah, it probably was Shisho.

He had a knack for saying stuff like that.

But yea. My first ever avatar was one of sniper wolf. And whoever made that post knocked me back onto the strait path.

Something I've noticed in a lot of my classes is that women use female characters and men use male characters for their stuff almost without fail.

That rule applies even here, look at Ellen's avatar or Ambient's or Saiyah's.

Truth is, if you exclusively use female avatars, maybe you should take a step back and do some soul searching.

Nothing is wrong with using a female avatar. It's not about identifying with the image you have as an avatar or signature but, instead, how much the person who sets it as their avatar and signature likes it.

I'm not having a gender crisis and I'm not gay. I liked the image of the girl who is featured in my avatar and signature so I edited it to become my present avatar and signature.

To simplify, we use what we like and sometimes identify with not what we are. If that wasn't the case, we would always be using real pictures of ourselves no?

I think Daimen can agree with me there being that it was his avatar and signatures that showed me that real girls can look just as good as avatars and signatures.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying or even implying that any of you are gay nor do I have anything against using women for avatars, but when you go out of your way to use nothing but women in your avatars, well there's something weird going on there.

When I pick an avatar I don't think "Let me pick a man because I identify with him better and a woman would make me look gay," I just pick a cool picture and let it be done with. Most people, as I explained in my example above, tend to subconsciously choose a character that has their own sex, i.e. men choose men and women choose women.

As I said, I have no problems with whatever you choose to pick as your avatar, I couldn't care less even, but again, when someone makes it a point to use female characters exclusively, I just think there might be more to it than that.
