The "small wings" refers to Schierke, I say.

The sword of resonance was not finished then. The first time he uses it is in Qluiploth (however you write it) several years after the eclipse. All he had was his regular sword and shield at his disposal, which weren't enough to get through Zodd in time to save anyone else but Guts and Caska.
Thats a very valid point, but I think what Facade was trying to say was that SK now possesses a sword that can cut through space and time. TIME.
Since his sword is covered with melt behelits, he should be able to fuck with causality as much as he wants. That means space travel
could be an option.
Unfortunately, an explanation about how the "sword of resonance" works hasn't been given (not a very detailed one at least), so all we can do is guess, based on how SK uses it, what its true capabilities are.
EDIT: A crap....I should have reloaded the damn page.....now my post makes no sense. Well, screw it, I will just leave it as it is.
Oh, and by small wings they mean the elves. Puck was leading them, guiding them to his home, remember?

Rolos, you read my mind. But like you stated, the usage of the sword of resonance has not yet been detailed.
BTW, remember the child from the beach, that looked like Casca?
Could it be that maybe Griffith cut a portion of himself and that became that child?
If you look again at the fight between Zodd and Gutts on top of that hill, covered in snow, Casca got in the way and Griffith actually protected her.
Then, as he took of with Zodd, he felt the child's presence (the demon child), and reflecting, felt as though that he is still not fully immune to human feelings (cause he held his "heart"). Maybe he pulled a Kami from DBZ, and created a second Ego, full of Gutts and Casca's emotions, as to fully emancipate himself from his human feelings, and/or attachments to Gutts and Casca.
Possible?

We theorized about that a while ago..... Why dont you try the search button?
its really useful.
Nah, just kidding, I'll give you the links.
But before that, I have a proposition. Why don't we give the child a name? A provisional one, of course. That way we can stop using variations of the word "child" every time we write about him. What about Guttska?
No wait, that just doesn't sound good....too Eastern Europe-ey.......mmm...
Caskutts?
No, that just sounds silly.
GC kid? Gutts jr? Suppa-kid? F'l edab r'tion Guttsson?
Wow, I suck at this.
Well, I leave the name to you guys, I am pretty sure someone can come up with something good.

EDIT: I cant find the page. I am pretty sure it was in the "Newbies Thread", but I cant seem to find it.

I can think of two different meanings for "time" in that sentence, either the sword simply allows him to see time and not affect it in any way (this helping him choose the best moment to attack but not travel back in time) or the meaning is much more traditional where time is seen as a component of displacement; a large displacement in a short time requires a large velocity, meaning that if I bend the rules of space and travel a big distance I'm also bending the rules of time because I can't get that displacement in such short time without a large velocity. A little wordy and weird to think about, but I'm more inclined on the latter.
Rolos wrote:But before that, I have a proposition. Why don't we give the child a name?
He's basically the only child in the story so far without a name, I think it's pretty obvious when we talk about him.

Yeah, but calling him "The Child" all the time is kinda boring. Besides, it could be a good way to kill some time between releases.

Whatever happens, I bet it will include a new elf sword to replace the Dragonslayer and lots of dead Apostles. Soon, very soon.

Nothing is going to replace the Dragonslayer. I'd be willing to bet that Guts keeps that sword for the rest of the series. I'll agree on the dead Apostles, though. Sooner or later that's almost bound to occur.

But what if, at some point of the story, the DS is broken?
Wouldn't that be very dramatic?
It would be like a wake-up call for Gutts, a reminder of how little all he has accomplished on his own is when compared with Griffth otherworldly powers.
I don't think its gong to happen, though, I was just saying that it is possible.

The sword itself is just a slab of iron, it can be repaired. Godo repaired who knows how many times.

It's imbued with demonic energy now, so it's going to be extremely hard to break, but probably not impossible. Though I think it would take a supernatural being or act to do so, like a God Hand could probably break it. Unless it becomes the key to defeating Griffith, but it's too early to really tell such things.

Miura will shift over to Elfheim soon. Events taking place now with Femto are not unrelated to what awaits Gatt's, of that I guarantee you. We'll probably be looking at quite a few chapters steming from Gatt's arrival at Elfheim. Miura is wrapping up what is happening with Femto now and will switch back to Gatts, so that is something to look forward to. Personally, I have been finding the past couple of chapters involving Femto to be quite tedious. It's a welcome change, getting back to Gatts. More reason than ever for Miura to be more consistent than he has been with releases considering there will be less strain (hopefully) on drawing the chapters out.
What this manga needs more than anything right now is to get back to the core essentials, building strong characters, that are interesting and fun to watch. Not much dialogue has been going on in the last few chapters and, frankly, I don't much care for the new bunch of characters that are accompanying Gatts. I hope for the best, though, because Gatts is about to arrive at Elfheim where we may see some fresh characters and story.

How can you say you don't like the characters that accompany Guts now? I find that they're a lot more deep and independent than those in the band of the hawk. Like Farnese for example, she casts down her religion for which she lived her whole life for for almost two decades for what she used to fight against because of what meeting Guts and then later Shierke taught her. I'm sorry to say this, but I find that makes her more interesting than any band of the hawk member, except for Griffith and Guts of course. Most of the characters that come into play after the eclipse are so much more dynamic. I agree about Elfhelm coming up soon, but not that they'll try to give him a new weapon. More like they'll study and possibly repair the one he has, wizards are like professors after all.

Farnese was a very interesting character and one of the better characters in my mind. I don't find her that interesting as she had been, though. As for the other three, (not including the fairies) the kid and the witch girl I think are not very strong characters. The other guy that tags along with Farnese is still kind of interesting. Farnese and him did have very interesting back stories and I liked them when they were first introduced as hunting down Gatts, but now I don't really find them as interesting. I can definately see Gatts having a change of character soon. Personally, I am hoping for him to flip out and start killing some damn fairies, but that is just me.
Some other things I think will happen are that demon dog that is embodied in the berserker armor will eventually change Gatts into a more sinister being, I think. I wouldn't be surprised if Gatts flips out and offs one of his companions. Maybe there will be some kind of civil war between the God-hand and the apostles? I think it may be a while before Gatts reaches the level of power that the Skull Knight possesses, but he is probably heading there. I highly doubt; however, that he will ever be able to match Femto in terms of power.
I predict he will get a new elf sword and magical powers soon. If I were Miura that is what I would do. Then he will return to God-hand controlled Midland and start killing apostles, or maybe the Elf King will give him some kind of quest.
Edit: I also predict Caska will get raped again lol

Well, maybe I have no clue what is going to happen, but one thing is for sure. I hope it returns to the good old days of people and trolls being cleaved in two by ridiculously large swords and the Satanic rape orgies lol. God, I miss those days...

The one thing for sure was that I would like it to return to the days of guts and glory and orgies. I don't get any of this crazy "Astralogy" crap that is being discussed. Who gives a flying f*** if Griffith opened some portal to God knows where. All that matters is that Guts gets himself back on track. He needs to get his priorities straight, you see. Dump his b**** (or rahter b****es) and make some demons die. That is what is sure. No more of this crazy Godzilla Astral Portal sh** that I have been reading for the past few months.
Edit; btw, it just occurred to me. How could Femto rape Caska if they castrated him in the dungeon (whicih I'm guessing they would have) Did the God-hand grow him another pair? I also don't mean to come across hostile, but doesn't anyone else think Miura may be alittle looney? I do... but then again, cosidering some other mangas. Maybe not. It seems some people here who get what is going on in the story, so maybe it's not all that crazy after all. I; however, am not one of them
On second thought maybe Griffith never even had a pair

I'll have to both agree and disagree with you there, I think that by mastering his demon dog inner rage Guts has become a better person. Though, there's still going to be all of that tension of what if he let loose and went, well,
berserk, but I think it's more likely at the island of the elves for that sort of thing to happen to Casca. And I do agree with you about Isidro, he had so much potential, but his lack of backstory makes him a weak character. There's still one more act to go before this story's over, unless Miura actually feels he has it in him to dedicate another ten years to this project. I just don't want Berserk to jump the shark.

I think that the dog kind of serves as a reminder from Miura that if Guts did lose himself to his rage, he would be no better than any of the monsters that the apostles have become.
