Femmy, that's why I said the bit about making it OVA style. Just do it to DVD, fuck the tv....they'll censor it all anyway and make it not worth while. Bleh!

Don't be stupid.

Cartoon Network, or rather Adult Swim, is doing a great job at introducing anime to american audiences. There would be absolutely nothing bad in them getting a hold of Berserk and airing it late at night. It'll raise awareness and more people will see it.

People that cry about censored anime are starting to piss me off.

And Adult Swim already said that they wont do Berserk. And Hellsing as well if I'm not mistaken. Somewhere in the boards is a thread (on the Adult Swim page) which says which shows they will not air. I think it may have something to do with what animes already have a Copyright on them through another company. Anyway, you can find more info one their page. They'll probably come out with more crap that they think appeases the stoner crowd. Shows like 12 oz. mouse, perfect hair, etc... They should have stuck with their old shows but then again other humans never listen to others. They go the way they think is right and that is usually to Hell. ^_^ Later.

EDIT: Censor all you want, I just hate dubs. Use the original Japanese voices because most American voices sound like the fuckers are constipated. And Steve Blum is getting WAY old now...he was a good Spike. That's all. But I do like hearing him in video games. But shows like Scryed and shit for some reason just piss me off. So I don't watch them. Good anime is hard to find now a days.

EDIT EDIT: Also, Cartoon Network and Adult Swim are totally different. Adult Swim is only on Cartoon Network because they allow them to beause they bring in the rating. They want their own network. And if Cartoon Network got a hold of Berserk (not that they would, they stick to DBZ and Pokemon, and Yugioh and other shit liek that) it would be a massacre. Adult Swim wouls dub but leave most of the violence, if not all in it. But I would rather them Fuck off and make a seperate anime channel with all uncut and subbed. If I knew how, I would do it. But I can't do shit I don't know how to do.

u dont seem to remember the sailormoon and dbz days. "the next demention" and no bathing suit episodes( that happen to have lots of plot details), and the horrendous cutting of any bloody action.

of course they're not as bad anymore, and yes, they did and still do introduce anime to many people, and recently they are better.
But Im not one to really be into naruto, and comon, they trashed it. I was kinda sad for all the fans let down.

since berserk has already been dubbed im not as worried, but the fact that it will be on the screens of every little 9 year-old boy who has a TV will make CN cut it at least a little.

and hey, u can watch as much CN as u want, but i like my anime to be clean of censorship. now im not all against CN anime completely, but its clearly not how berserk should be found in my opinion.

I was being sarcastic for the most part(hence the rolling eyes), but how could they even air the last episodes without having to censor everything? To be more specific, I meant Toonami(if it still exists), not adult swim. Last time I was watching shows on Toonami they editted out blood. I find nothing wrong with censoring out breasts and vulgar, but blood? Come on now. I understand that the censors are for children, but if the show has to be censored then should children be watching it anyways?

I was not attacking Adult Swim. I agree that they are doing a great job at introducing Anime to America.

The thing is, if it ever airs on Cartoon Network, it'll be somewhere on Adult Swim.

Berserk is not the average kid show that they'd put on an afternoon block, the content is fairly mature and they'll get backslash from parents no matter how much they censor it. Airing it on Adult Swim would be a much more reasonable choice, but if they've already said that it's not in their plans, then it's not happening. Still, if they ever do air Berserk on Adult Swim I'd probably watch it every time, even if it does get censored.

Yea, hes naturally an asshole. Dont take it personal. And about the anime being aired on late-night tv. I mean, true maybe if adult swim would seperate than maybe it would air but right now i dont think they would allow an agreement for the anime or vice versa. Maybe on some rhetro channel no one knows about..i dunno.

Actually, I've even been seeing advertisements for an all anime channel. I'm considering subscribing to it. As for Berserk on Cartoon Network, I agree with Femto. They'd show it on Adult Swim, and there'd be very little editing. It's been at least six or seven years since we had to put up with the "Next Dimension" crap in DBZ. Adult Swim has done a great job at presenting anime in America. Shit, why do you think it's gotten so popular over the last few years. Hell, I've been watching anime for a very long time, and it used to a pretty select crowd. Now days almost everyone in our generation knows about it. Truthfully, all of the munchkins out there annoy me. In anycase, Adult Swim gets props from me.

The only thing they'd have to edit really, is like some of the eclipse. The anime was made with TV viewers in mind. It's not like they'd be dealing with the manga.

Point taken and agreed. However, you never know with CN. I seriously doubt they'd be that stupid though.
