I like this one that Jon Karlos posted a while back ago, but still worth repeating though.
So this is Guts thinking to himself:

Everyone loves this quote, in fact, alot of people has used it as their signature. Including Dos, but his pic was kind of screwed in proportion-wise.

Those are my favs...partially cuz the last one is pretty right IMO

yes, i use it as my signature also. it really is a great way of summing up guts in a sentince. the whole "no chosen path by a greater power, i make my own" kind of thing. plus, that whole scene right before the second eclipse were he says it was fucking awsome!

also, it kind of has this relation (maybe just in my head) to the old buddhist quote " if you meet buddha, kill him". although the connection is rather thin, id like to believe there is some.

Here are clips from my favorite pages in the manga.

When Guts and Co. go to the seaside, he looks at the sea and is mildly disturbed.

"The sea at night makes me shiver... if you look at it, it feels like you'll be swallowed into the depths of this dark wave."

It struck me that the sea in this sense is a pretty good metaphor for Guts' rage. He fights and he fights and he fights and he does not stop until his opponent is broken, much like how the sea pounds endlessly on the shore, tearing it down with its relentless tides.

It also made me think of the Bad Death of Hida Amoro.

Puck is awesome without him Berserk would be no fun at all and too serious.

I like the part where Gutts is locked in the cage after being captured by the Knights of the Holy Iron Chain, and he asks himself how it can get any worse, at which point Puck starts talking about how the star of the story is here and "Damn right, it's Puck!" And Gutts just replies "That's a good answer."

I liked Puck more when he was still non-chibified. .. On that, why/how/when did Puck even turn chibi? It's like his personality made a 90 degree turn.

Well its a given he was his serious self when he didnt knew Guts so well and just felt his pain. Now that he is comfortable around Guts and he has his apprentice in Ishidoro,maybe the chibi is his true self.

no, i dont think it is the right place, but wtf. but it means little or jr. but depending on the context. in manga and such it generally refers to the fat, small, cute versions on a character. puck turns chibi. CLAMP often uses chibis. plushies are also often(almost always) chibi. chibis are used a lot more in shojo. does that answer your question?
