yea he kinda does but wasn't there a time span of 3 years or something between the part from the first 3 vols and tha which is happening now?

Was there? I don't remember. That would explain something. I thought it just picked right back up. But he even looks different during the Golden Age when all hell breaks loose. Of course maybe Miura's drawing got different?
