Fricken hilarious.

hbi2k, you should either create a new thread for your work (if it is indeed your work) or new threads for each abridged chapter.

chat me up sometime, perhaps we can try to get you more air-time on EG's blog.

Cool, I didn't necessarily want to start up a thread about it right away 'cause I've been places where pimping your own personal projects too much is frowned upon. Especially since I'm a newb-- I would've been on these boards a long time ago but I wanted to catch up on the scanlations first so I'd be sure not to get anything spoiled for me. But since you're cool with it, I think I will.

I thought this video was pretty sharp, and the songs Parbol and Parabola by Tool fit Gut's pretty well imo...might just be me though.

I'd hate to say it, but a majority of these AMV's are garbage. Just take some footage of Gutts killing things, throw in some random rock/metal song and encode it in shitty quality. Yeh theres exceptions to this [Man of Sorrows, Dark Tranquility, , but the vast majority of the videos are horrible.

Heres something a little different, and each time I watch it, I get a little chocked up inside. :(

Poor Judeau, the song fits so nice too.

Heres the lyrics:
Wake up your life
You may never get the chance to make things right
Rather than lie
Take a moment to reflect on what's gone by
It's a mistake
There's no reason I should be so full of guilt
Significant break
So you severed all the ties that we have built

All I know, even though
Tried to give you what was left of me
But it was not enough
Didn't think about the rest of me
That it was not enough
Tried my hardest with the best of me
But it was not enough
Tried to give you what was left of me
But it was not enough

All mixed up inside
And it's easy to forget what we should be
It's useless to hide
I can see to the heart of your insecurity
All of this time
Blaming others for the cause of what we've lost
Nothing sublime
I must overcome no matter what the cost

[Chorus x1]

Please give back what s not yours to have
It's the only thing that I've got left
Never was enough to satisfy
And I'm left empty

[Chorus x1]

Tried to give you what was left of me
But it was not enough
Didn't think about the rest of me
That it was not enough
Tried my hardest with the best of me
But it was not enough

Most are shitty quality not from the encode process, but because Youtube compresses them and lowers the quality of the video.

Only slightly O/T:

AMV Hell 4 is out (http://amvhell.com/index.php?page=24), and I was quite pleased to note that there's a lot of good Berserk representation. Seriously, I think there's more Berserk in there than Naruto or Azumanga Daioh or just about anything except maybe One Piece and Death Note.

The Google Video version seems to be down at the moment:

[gvideo]-5546478914068728125&hl=en[/gvideo]

And I couldn't get the (.mp4) torrent version to play, but the .avi version (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=151066) on AMV.org seems to be working fine.

That Judeo video is great. Especially the ending makes me shiver...

Has there ever been an AMV done to the tune of "Furious Angels", it seems like the song was made for one of these?

Unfortunately, AMV's for the anime have been done to death. As much time and effort it must take to do an AMV using manga material, the payoff is amazing. Come to think of it, not counting the "After Eclipse AMV", the only one to pull that off was the ever famous "Dark Tranquility"....which we all know to be f*ckin epic!

Another good thing about the Dark Tranqulity and few other manga AMV's IMO, is that they give a larger audience (those only familiar w/ the anime) a taste of how awesome the Beserk manga is. Especially for those here in America, where aside from comic book nerds, few ever give a format like MAnga a chance. Speaking for myself, if it wasn't due to how much I enjoyed the anime and its characters, and having the rug pulled out from under me with how it all ended, I would never have given the manga a chance.

Indeed. The Wonders at your feet is really an amazing MVV (Manga Music Video) :D

And the anime really should have had that 26th episode, to see how Skully rescued the two and how Guts really became to be the Black Swordsman he is in the beginning of the anime. I dunno why they never produced that last episode, wikipedia says it was sceduled for 26 eps but the last one was never produced because of budget or something. But I cannot imagine something as big as Berserk having budget problems...

Although at least the extreme Cliffhanger ending sucked alot of watchers into the Manga.

Exactly. If you invested so much into the anime, along with the story and all its characters, that ending pretty much forced the audience to seek closure. Not going to lie....I went out and ordered the entire 18 volumes from Dark Horse available at the time soon after.

Yeah as soon as I saw the last anime episode, I too got on the internet to order the manga. Well tough luck, in germany Panini is the distributor, and although Volumes 1-26 or so are already translated, half of the volumes are not available anymore and will only be reprinted in the MAX Edition (like the MBR My Best Remix in the US), which only has like 3 or 4 volumes yet.

So I found the hawks and evil genius, and rejoiced!

I'm not usually a big fan of Berserk AMV parodies (I am really liking the abridged series though) but this one was very well done as far as matching the mouth movements to the song.

Has anybody posted Gattsu's Promise on this thread yet? (Apologies if so.) Pure unadulterated fanwankage for Guts / Caska shippers such as myself.

I love this video far more than anyone should love anything with Bon Jovi in it.

The song is from a musical called 'A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.'
And its twice as funny, seeing how this is a forum as well...
The song is called 'Bring me my bride' and yes, its one of the AMV's I enjoy the best!

Especially the singing behelit.

I find that the only Berserk AMV's that people like are the funny ones, because Berserk is such a realistic depiction of the Medieval world it's easy to use, like for Monty Python and all. What I was going to say was that I made an AMV, how do I get it up? Yeah, I'm a dummy :P

By people, I mean those dicks at anime conventions that choose which amvs to showcase in their theatres and stuff. I like all Berserk amvs, if they're done well.
