Thank god for one less reason to own a PS3.
Final Fantasy 13 is also porting to the X-box 360, personally i´m not a FF fan so i don´t really care about that but that´s another game series that people will stop using to explain the "superiority" of the playstation.

Maybe also the xbox players can stop being so jealous of PS3 and focus on thier own consol.
Specially since there arent anything to be jealous of right now.
If you like xbox thats should be enough cause most games these days are multi anyway.
No need to boast, Sony will dominate no matter the games cause the 100+ million gamers they have that are comfortable with PS, heck i cant even play an xbox360 cause its alien to me

I won't go as far as jealously. It isn't a benefit for the game buying public but having different games on different platforms is good for the industry. People only want to buy one console but we know that if there was only one quality would shit.

All I got out of that was "Blah blah blah, Sony fanboy bullshit, blah blah blah."

And I just wanted everyone to know that the irony of that sentence almost made my head explode.

Well said, especially since games are more expensive to make nowadays so popular game series are starting to lose console exclusivility.

100,000,000 PS2s have been sold... not PS3s. Kind of hard to sell PS3 games for the PS2. Plus, most people have a 360 had a PS2.

As far as I know, Square-Enix hasn't said anything about porting it to the X360, but the original creator of the series (who is currently in charge of Blue Dragon) admitted in an interview that he believes Square-Enix should make FFXIII multi-platform, and that it would be good for the series.

I dont care whether sony is nr 1 or nr 3 in the race but its look like more certain than before that people will go for sony if they have been with them for over ten years. Its like Nintendo dominating japan, its cause of thier history. Sony has great numbers with PS1,PS2 and that will go on with PS3 even if they never sell 100 mill PS3s.
I might be a fanboy but not like the ones that goes to PS3 thread and says " HAHAHAHA DMC4 will out on xbox".

It is called brand loyalty, marketing and branding is the mainstay of any company, game maker or not.
I go where the games are. If the ps3 can pony up the games that I want to play, I'll buy one. But I've lost confidence in Sony over the years and while I did own a PS1 and a PS2, there is nothing right now that motivates me to buy a ps3.
I can for the price of one ps3 go out and buy a Wii or an Xbox360 with gadgets and games and get more enjoyment out of what I purchased.
That isn't to say the ps3 is bad, it isn't for me when I have other options that clearly will give me same level of enjoyment and satisfaction for less money.

I agree fully. Sony has let me down too specially when its about online in PS2 and PS3 is really not for me right now cause of the prise the lack of good launch games.
They are just lucky that i havent seen any Xbox-xbox360 games that has made me buy those consoles and jump of the sony ship.
Diffrent strokes thing.
Right now they have me only cause you know what you will get from them gamingwise even if it will take long time before the great games come out.

Even if it will take ALOT for me to not have PS as my preferred console systems, its getting lower and lower in appeal. As Psi said, its all about the games. And largely prefered PS due to that. But now that its becoming more and more expensive to hold onto rights, and most games become multi. The appeal is fading more and more. Not that much because most of these game will still be time exclusive to PS3 (like GTA, coming way later on to xbox).
Multi is great for the general gamer, but not that great if you were interested in PS because of their exclusive games. Its like why I didnt buy Xbox, I liked some of the games, but most of their games were multi. I just could wait a little while to get them on PC or PS2. That took a bit of the appeal of buying a console, if the games are availabe elsewhere.

Don't tell me you're buying into their "Raw Potential" bullshit. That's just a fancy way of say "We don't have any good games yet, but if you buy it and we DO make some good games, you're in the clear." If that were the case with gaming, then the X-Box would have dominated the last generation, and the PSP would be destroying the DS right now. Go where the good games are, and right now that's looking like the 360. Once Sony announces or releases more games that impresses me like White Knight Story does, then I'll stop laughing out loud at people who ask me if I want to buy a PS3.
Anywho, back to the topic of the thread (That's the XBox 360 for anyone playing the home game): Senko No Ronde is coming to the 360 in the US. Great shooter news, or greatest shooter news?

I dont buy in thier crap at all which is why i dont even think about buying PS3 right now. I will buy only when one of Assasin Creed,MGS4,DMC4 is out. White Knight Story does sound very interesting.
I have been around before with a new consol, i know it takes time and also some of the games i want have been confirmed like the games i mentioned.
PSP is full of crap and the worst of all consols. They are talking about PSP 2 while they havent even realesed good games to PSP. MGS:OPS thats it.

You aren't agreeing with me. I said multi-platform is good for the consumer now but not in the future. With less exclusives means less consoles which mean we have to settle with whatever they decide to make for good or for worst example. Madden being the only official football game.

You got a very good point there.
If it becomes like that, the multi thing makes the consoles feel like the one and the same, there is the danger of having one version of the type of games. Meaning in the end less good games out there.
I dont believe that will happen cause the buisness is huge and the companies are so greedy that they will make sure they have games are thiers only.
Which is good for us. One mans Metal Gear Solid is another mans Halo and etc

Well I had my original 360 since Janurary last year.
However last December I got my first unit replaced as it crapped out on me.
Right now my second 360 is at the dorm room of my friend, whom I let it borrow.

You should look into Mass Effect and Bioschock to then
Think those games will be amongst the best releases this year

The funny thing about this post is that at least two of those titles are coming to the 360, possibly all of them.

Console exclusives seem to be a dying breed, on any platform, which is sad really.

Not for me when it comes to God of War 3, that god damn game has to port to the 360.

Heh, keep your fingers crossed. The only problem is, I'd hate to see one company monopolizing in the gaming industry, you know what I mean. If you can get all games on every system, it eliminates any real need for multiple systems, making competition pretty much stagnant.
