Obito was Kakashi's friend. He was in the special kakashi flashback that appeared in the manga before Shippuuden started. He was just a kid back then, and Madara had supposedly already lived and died. Madara is the founder of the Uchiha clan, and existed during the time of the first hokage. It wouldn't make sense for Tobi to really be Obito, unless he's lying about being Madara. Otherwise, Madara would have had to have pretty much been reborn again as another young Konoha ninja. It just doesn't add up. Even if he were somehow able to pull something like that off, that would mean he's someone who's pretending to be someone else, who's pretending to be someone else. If anything, it would just be Obito falsely claiming to be Uchiha Madara, which could be slightly possible, but I'm sure it's just Madara whose assumed the false identity known as Tobi.

remember Kakashi asked Itachi: "how far has your eyesight deteriorated" in the first fight they had when naruto came back from his journey. I'm tired of this fight no one with half a brain really cares anymore. Pretty much we've already figured that "Madara" had a hand in the Uchiha Perge.

Madara could easily be using techinques like Oro uses to remain alive.

This blind thing is old news, Kakashi already guessed that using the mangekyou sharingan blinds the user some hundred chapters ago.

I still think there´s more to this meeting that Itachi made than just answering Sasuke´s question, if he's knows that Zetsu is watching, ready to alert Madara if he speaks up, he might tell Sasuke the truth via a Gen-jutsu, which is why he activated his mangekyou sharigan.

What are you talking about, that last chapter had a fairly decent plot bomb in it that really did explain a lot. I seriously doubt anyone exactly saw that coming. Well, at last we finally know Itachi's motivations, and even though he's still a crazy selfish fucker, at least I don't hold the massacre of the Uchiha Clan against him as much now.

[spoiler]I thought the story was cool I always wandered what was up with the statues at the falls... and Madara brought the Nine tails in to the picture that was interesting... now the really question is wheather Sasuke will take Itichi's eyes after he kills him?? The reason I dont think that Itichi will win is because of the different bond between Madara and his brother and Sasuke and Itichi, almost oppisite... that and Sasuke would never be at Itichi's side, unless he had his sword drawn, like Madara's brother. How much of a plot bomb was it? We knew that Madara called the nine tails. We knew that Madara and the first fought. We knew that Madara had a hand in the Uchiha massacre. All that was revealed was the fact that Madara got the third level Sharingan.

Now all of a sudden Itachi and Sasuke are going to fight? after just staring at each other for 5 chapters? Spare me please.

Be cynical all you want, but there was definitely more revealed than that. I mean, all that shit about the Uchiha Clan's dark past and the Madara flashback, the reasons behind why Itachi destroyed the clan and yet left Sasuke alive. We didn't know any of that shit. I always wanted to know why Itachi did it. It's good to know he had a reason, whether it's a very good one or not. At least he didn't just do it because he could, though in a sense he did. Until now, we didn't really know exactly what his motivations were. I think the chapter really showed us his "true self" as he said. At this point, I'd say they have a pretty damn good reason to fight. So as far as trying to play the shit off like it wasn't a very revealing chapter, spare me, please.

Ok as I said the new eye technique is alright if New more powerful Sharingans are for you. Though there are a few things that just don't add up. I was lead to believe that Itachi was cold and calculating not a raving lunatic. I guess I was dissappointed in that aspect. But if the thing about him wanting to take Sasuke's eyes really isn't surprising at all.

Well compared to the prior fight.............. this one fails miserably.
