Well if it comes to sheer looks, Caska looks almost the same now as before the eclipse, just with longer hair and more sucky lips (which is not a bad thing

). But what made her so loveable, at least pre-eclipse, was the fact that she was the full package woman, looks + character. IMHO.

OMG how awesomely detailed is that rendering?!
Had to resize the image for the forum, go to

Fucking amazing! Check out
Pose 1 and
Pose 2, as well as the
expression test. Guts looks a lot like Silvester Stalone.

well due to Miura maturing in his amazing art, caska DOES look physically different. another difference is the muscle mass is much lower. check out volume 9-10 when she is naked as the hawks leader and look at her taking a bath with farnese now. i think we can all agree caska was more...rather, less depressing to read when she was the smart beautiful strong woman she was.

I completely agree. I was only comparing her face, which looks pretty much the same as at the time of the eclipse, sans the hair of course. But yeah she definately lost muscles in that time. I hope that soon (or at least, anytime before Berserk finishes...) Caska regains her old self back, at least part of it. Strong women are always enjoying to read and watch in fiction, and Caska was one of the strongest, but at the same time she didn't lose her humanity (like say Wonder Woman or such heroines), she was a fighter AND a woman, which made her so adorable. Now she isn't even a complete woman anymore...

So my room mate is an artist. For my birthday he wants to paint me something. Anything I want. Naturally being a massive berserk fan I decided that's what I wanted. the thing is I don't know what it should be. There is so much I could get him to paint from berserk. I am open for Suggestions.

I always really liked these following 2 images, and if I could get a painting I'd probably choose of on those:
P196-176 of Volume 12:
P194 of Volume 9:
While the 6 inserts in the last one are nice too, the lower part would surely make an awesome romantic painting. There's also a colored version of that frame around somewhere on my linux harddrive, and I think this thread too.
Damn just posting that last picture reminded me of how awesome the golden age arc was... /afk rereading
Edit: More things that would look good as a big painting...
P178 of Volume 20:
P98-99 of Volume 19:
P135 of Volume 21:
P67 of Volume 27:

That first one looks like Berserk meets Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker. (-:

I prefer the pic of Caska with the shiny armor. It's pretty rad.

I found this one awhile ago on Deviant Art by The Switcher. I had it as my desktop for awhile. It's just so pretty and sweet!

This would look more like i had intended if I could only find my fine-tipped blue Micron pen. :/

Mneh. Ah well.
And to those of you who are posting Berserk artwork done by fans, do you think you could remember to post the link to their galleries as well? It's just a courtesy to them.

Those 2 are my favorites. The first one especially looks like an old oil painting, fitting for the "Legend" of Griffith.
