Judeau had more of a part in Anime and I suspect the Manga as well, but Pippin is a close second. I think Pippin was Griffith's Guts before he found Guts if that makes any sense. Judeau the jack of all trades king of none... although he was pretty good at giving relationship advise.

Well, as said, Judeau had even before it started, but if he hadn't been there, Pippin would most likely be number one instead. It's hard to make a vote like this balanced.
Btw, Casca and Griffith should have been in the poll too, they would've given Judeau a hard time.
