Thanks for the notice. It's good to know that the wait is coming to an end

Maybe they'll actually reach Elfheim in 2010?

Don't be ridiculous.
We are never going to see Elfheim.
I've lost whatever faith I had in Miura. There is no Miura! He doesn't exist, you are all deluding yourselves!
Berserk is a lie!

And I will be at home reading the chapter and laughing at you guys for missing it...

Nah, I'll probably forget and then find out a couple of days later that it came out.

So yeah, I'm going to be different and comment on the topic chapter again.

Given the pattern Berserk fights often seem to take (Guts steps up, Guts looks badass, Guts kicks ass, something bigger shows up, Guts gets turned back into a bloody side of meat with his limbs facing the wrong way), I'm guessing that all the death-tentacles we see here are actually just appendages of a much larger creature beneath the surface.

Thank you.

I was thinking that the pirate captain was somehow connected to the boat itself and the tentacles. So Guts will have to jump ship and stab him.

Maybe Guts will pick up one of the ship's cannons and blast the beast a new one.

I always think that Captain Sharkrider is too much of a comic-relief character to die. Then I remember Adonis.

You mean Adon. Adonis was the boy that Guts killed, the son of Julius.

I agree on the conection thing, but I was thinking that he was more of an apendage than a critical organ. I can't see defeating the monster just by killing him.

I expect that the fight with the monster will look something like this: (see from 1:47)

Sorry, that looked really cool, but it didn't quite seem to achieve that level of epic that I expect from Berserk.

Yep, it's just not the same.
As for that movie, I predict a unique case of Hijacked by Jesus, partially clouded by a low pressure mass of Rage against the Heavens, all deliciously intertwined with a poorly written script, even worse acting, and a CGI fight-fest which will take you to Nirvana amongst horrible, back-breaking seizures of enlightenment.
It's gonna be an awesome experience, and a fine way to completely waste an afternoon.

PS: The ghost ship is a magical octopus (squid?)-like being born from the collective angst (anguish?) of all the pirate's victims. And it absorbs (read: devours) people.
Why would the people it absorbs be of any importance to it? They just make it bigger, like those monsters at the tower of conviction. This one has a more defined ego, but they are basically the same, aren't they?

Yeah, especially when he got skewered by Guts' big-ass sword. I cried a little.

Not Adonis. Adonis was the little boy that Guts killed. You're thinking of Adon. Their names are very similar. Casca killed Adon, and as I remember she flipped over him, and when he turned around she slit his throat.
