But from Griffith's perspective, isn't this slaughter a good thing? It shows everyone how terrible the Kushan Emperor is, makes them feel helpless in the face of such power, and leaves them ripe for the Pope to declare Griffith as God's savior, come to deliver them from the evil Kushans. Given how utterly futile the combined armies of all these countries seemed against the Kushan's beast army, Griffith would seem to be their only hope, and when he eventually crushed the Kushan's he would seem even more the "savior" making people far more accepting of his marriage to Charlotte, and his taking the thrown. If, however, he arrives before the allied armies are crushed, and throws back the Kushans, then the credit won't be solely his (all the allies will claim that they contributed) and some will argue that the allies would have eventually prevailed on their own. He still looks good, but not to nearly the same extent. So I think that Griffith will definately want to allow the city to be destroyed.

Actually, we have mentioned Griffith, but I don't see what motives he has to save Guts. Why would he save an enemy of his cause and someone who hates his guts? The enemy of my enemy is my friend? No, I don't think that will work.

The king is an apostle of course Guts can hurt him maybe not strong enough to kill him now but he will eventually kill him cause no apostle is unstoppable.

The possibility that Griffith will turn up and save the day is highly unlikely, as said, why would Griffith even save Guts? Perhaps there is a small small chance that Griffith is so twisted that he wants to kill Guts with his own hands. Then again, hes had a chance before to do so and he didnt.

i think he will just slink away after he realises guts the enemy of his enemy.

Just a random though. Perhaps its Rickert who steps up to the plate with a new weapon or something. It can't be as far fetched as it might seem. As the Emperors army crosses the land, the people will leave there rural homes and seek safety in numbers. If Rickert sensed danger he would have left the old mining cabin and find a way to survive. With his talents he could easily find an army in need of skilled weapon smiths...anyone else remember how many armies happened to be hanging around the city before it was attacked? THEN as the town is attacked, all Rickert would have to do is fallow the action and he'd find Gutts!
Even if this isn't the time Rickert and Gutts meet once again, it has to happen. He is a Hawk after all.
My money is still on Griffith or the mystery child to come in to save the day.

I think that stuff with Godo's "Dragon" and "Big Black Sword" will be revealed soon..

yes the kushan king is an apostle but he isn't an apostle like all the others , his body is electricity ! when Griffith svaed the princess he preferred to not face in combat the king and whole squad of apostles wasn't able to kill him .... may be because he was in his enchanted castle?
He seems to be an hard challege for Guts , remember they are on the sea also...

First thing , i like to say thank for your work then.... i didn't said that Griffith would like to save Gatsu .... i don't think that the kushan king will let Gatsu alive if he discover that he is a griffith enemy...
How i said , the kushan king has now left his enchanted castle , may be that griffith will take this chance to attack him , but not to save guts ... guts will be saved only for instance , becouse it is written in kharma ....
After all Griffith isn't afraid of gatsu and don't care if he is dead or alive .

this is only a suppositin , may be that the berserk fury will wake up and devast everything

Yeah i know that thats why i said he might too much for the current Guts. Maybe later when he is better at using the witchs power with his fighting skils like when she is made his sword burn with fire.

Griffith specified that he doesn't care for Gatts. At all. He won't save him, he won't kill him himself (or at least won't worry with that). He fell nothing for him...remember the hill of Swords?

I still think the Neo Hawks will appear at the gates, and Ganishka will go there, leaving Gatts quite hurted...and needing healing in Elfheim ;D

Neo Hawks and Griffith might show up to save the day or whatever is left of the day.

Guts might be able to kill her like he did the demon in chapter 1,play the lover and then kill her. We know she will fall for it since she has a thing for him

Guts loves pain too, i wonder if he would enjoy it getting tortured by her

She has incarnated herself with him before, she's obviously not going to give up on him . I really don't think shes beyond it, as her thirst for human emotions will undoubtedly be quenched, or at the very least she will try to quench it.

Totally wicked. Slain and Guts will spread their seeds. You have little Guts junior sprouting tentacles running around. Slain & Guts will have trouble keeping them alive as they enjoy self mutilating themselves too much !!! One will survive and grow up big and strong.
