But that does look to some extent Juggernaut from the Ultimate universe. All the movies are basing it from the Ultimate universe anyway.

From what I've seen of the helmet, that looks to be more like the original comics, since Ultimate Juggernaugt's helmet is all solid with a small red visor to see.

That's the only pic I've seen of Juggy, I haven't seen his helmut yet. I'm hoping he gets to kick some ass instead of getting his one owned.

Well, it's true that Hollywood isn't in its prime right now.

no, he's supposed to look wider than tall!

he should have been computerized, or at least pumped up like a baloon

I heard Quicksilver's going to be in the movie, but nothing's confirmed so far.

I want to check out Scorsese's Departed, based from Infernal Affairs. Hope Hollywood doesn't fuck it up.

I don't know about Quicksilver, the new mutants I've heard are confirmed are:

Shadowcat
Beast
Angel
Jubilee
Juggernaut
Callisto
Arclight
Multiple Man
Psylocke
Leech
Artie Maddicks
Siryn
Omega Red
Stacy X
X-Kid (Dunno who that is)

I hate Departed already for several reasons.

One cause even though i like the work of Scorsese,Di Caprio i know they cant make it as special as the hong kong version.

Also i hate how hollywood takes the easy way out nowadays, just copy and copy...... Really shows hollywood isnt in its prime.

I like what George Coloney is doing, making diffrent kind of movies in a time where hollywood arent going for "diffrent".

I just hope its as good as say, Xmen 1&2.

I will like it atleast as much as X2 didnt like X1 too much.

Since this one focuses less on Wolvie and more on the war and more characters it cant be a miss.

ultimate's juggernaut is more tall than bulky.
the movie is sorta an amalgam of the various marvel universes.
so many these days its hard to remember what is what.

i didnt like x2 as much as the original. towards the end i felt jean died for no apparent reason other then a setup for some phoenix story later.
it was kinda awkward.

i am excited that hollywood is making its version of infernal affair. i m curious to see if they can incorporate the emotional aspects of the original as well as they will do with the action and intrigue.

=)

I honestly don't know why they had to make another sequel for X-men.

Even though I am a fan, both movies sucked so far.

Blasphemy. Both movies were awesome.

whatever made them awesome in your eyes?
acting was mediocre, story was not captivating, nothing I would have expected...

And on top of all that, some dipshit in the dub-department nicknamed Wolverine "Wolf"...SCANDALOUS!!!

PS: to put it short: X-men would have deserved better

Welll for starters I didn't go in expecting "Citizen Kane" It's a summer high-adventure movie, and a comic book adaption, so first we need to put thhings in persepctive.

Skullkracker wrote:acting was mediocre,
See above point. But even then I though the acting for the most part was OK. I felt Jackman as Wolverine was actually a good choice. I know a bunch of people are going to tell me "He's not the best person for the job" Well then you find me some actor who looks like Wolverine and can act like him too. I thought Xavier and Mangeto we cast perfectly. I being a bit of a Star Trek fan was happy to see Patrick Stewart, and his portrayal of Xavier was pretty much on the money. Ian McKellen wouldn't be my choice as Magneto since he doesn't really look the part. Then again if you could tear tanks apart with a thought, there wouldn't be much need to work out to be in this kind of shape.
Skullkracker wrote:story was not captivating,
It's debatable that this is the comic's fault and not the movie's, but I'll move past that. But really, is there any good storyline from the comics that could transition into a movie? Remember, this is a movie for the general public, who wouldn't regularly know Apocalypse from Avalance. This means we have to spend time introducing characters, and their character traits and personality. We as comic book fans may have gotten tired of hearing how in love Jean and Cyclops are with each other, or that mutants and humans don't mesh well, but this is new stuff for some people. These movies cannot be fan services like you or I would want, or else they would tank at the box offices because no one would get them except us. And last time I checked, though there are millions of comic readers in the world, we are a minority, not big enough to carry an entire movie genre along because we are too elitist to have it changed for the "non-readers".

Hey, you don't live in America, so it's your fault for getting a crappy dub :P

Above all man, we have to remember that these movies are for the general public, and as such we cannot be privy to fanservices like uber-cool (albeit confusing) storylines and action. I was pleasantly surprised at the things they did to appease big fans, if you go looking for them. X2 did this beautifully, stuff that a non-reader would pass off as backround stuff, but that the fans could day "Oh cool, check that out." like:

Names in Striker's computer when Mystique is getting info: Remy Lebeau, Jamie Madrox, The Maximoffs
Folders in Striker's computer titled "Omega Red", "Franklin Richards", "Muir Island"
"Dr. Hank McCoy" on the TV news
The "X-Kids" in the mansion, like Shadowcat and Siryn.

very elaborate answer

I still wonder how pleasing the whole thing was to people, who first encountered the X-men world. Even a commic book adaption could be made a bit better than the avarage. :(

oh well, my expectations are high

Heh there have been crappy comics movies that i liked anyway like DD,FF. But X-men movies are great.

I liked FF. Well, Jessica Alba made it all better.

I liked Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, as well as Xavier and Magneto's casting. One point that people can argue that Hugh Jackman is way taller than the character in the comic, Wolverine was a dwarf, like 5"4 and Jackman's like 6"1. I thought he was exactly as I'd imagine Wolverine to be.

I seriously can't wait for X3. Screw the haters.

Jackman was born for Wolverine,he is so much like i thought he should be.

FF was crap mostly cause mr.Fantastic was played so badly.

IMO Jackman looked like a young Wolverine...and less wild

The best movie based on a comic is undoubtadly Sin City...yes, they can make quality adaptions after all :)

SC blows out every other comic movie out of the water. Mostly cause they let the creator codirect it.

Marv was awesome, cant wait for SC2 and SC3.
