I can give you more examples:
- Natalie Portman - Just see "Closer".
- Cristopher Lee - see his part in Lord of the Rings, and see the "Its obvious this discussion can't be decided by our knowledge in the force, but with our skills with a lightsaber..." Man, that is so fucking totally crap!
- Ewan McGregor - he's known to be one of the more versatile actors today. True, he saved MANY of the moments in all 3 movies ("Why do I sense we picked up another pathetic life form?", "Good Job! (as anakin says he came to save him)", and "Another perfect landing..." but in the overall, he could do SO MUCH BETTER! Man, did any of you got the special old trilogy? Lucas directing is simply:
Lucas - CUT! That wasn't good
Hammill - Ok...how should we do?
Lucas - Hmm...Faster, more intense.
Man, he say this ALL THROUGH THE FUCKING MOVIE!
I say the old trilogy is SO much better then the prequels because he hadn't money or technology, so he HAD to put emphasis on the story and the characters. And the best movie (for many, MANY fans) - Empire - wasn't even directed by him! Watch it, and see the difference in acting in Empire from the rest. It's just so "slap you in the face" better directing and acting...
Ok, sorry - I can talk years about SW...don't wanna piss off the rest of the guys

I'm getting too off-topic.

Your not alone in thinking that the old SW movies was waaay better then these new ones.
George Lucas should just gather all off the tapes/DvDs from the last ones and burn it all, and pray to god all off humanity will forget he ever made them.

saw 2 looks like a movie that can either live up to the expectations of its predecessor or a movie that really shouldnt have had a sequel such as blair witch 2

the one thing that i dont like at the moment is that amanda is being played again, which totally works against the theory that jigsaw does these games also for the benefit of these hopeless people learning to value life

I can watch Mortal Kombat to death, but if I watch Mortal Kombat 2, I'll be dead. Not that I love it, but holy shit...MK2 it's THE WORST MOVIE EVER!!! Rivalizing with Highlander 2 and Blair Witch 2...

Dude, I watched Unleash last night, and that shit was off the chain! Seriously, I really liked it. It had good plot, superb acting, even from Jet Li, and of course the action was exciting. Go check it out!

DOOM was pretty bad. Bad script and story. The way they jumped around from going into the base and running to the exit constantly made it too confusing to follow at times. The absence of any real demons also was a disapointing factor. The five minute FPS part was probably the best part of the movie then they had to follow it up with a crappy hand-to-hand fight. Not like I was expecting anything good from the movie but at least it tried more then some others.

Um, I don't know where it was made, but I was thinking they were supposed to be in London or something. It has Morgan Freeman in it, and he's a masterful actor. The main bad guy did a really good job too. The actual plot has deep but subtle philosophical meaning about a man discovering himself. Jet Li doesn't have a lot of lines, but I think he did a really good job with his body language and what lines he did have. It was a great part for Jet Li, because he wasn't required to speak a lot. He really did seem to portray the boyish nature he was supposed to have, as well as the vicious dog he could become. It'll make more sense once you see it, but I look forward to hearing what others thought about the film as well. I really like Jet Li's movies, and this is probably my favorite.

Actually, the director's French, he's actually the same director for Nikita and (I think) transporter or something. The action's done by Yuen Woo Ping, the guy that brought you the action in Matrix, so the action scenes for this movie has got to be good. It's not a French film though.
