The PS2 Berserk game is awesome as is the soundtrack. You can actually unlock different stuff in the game, for example instead of using the DS you can change it to an electric guitar. Its just great to pop it in and go slay hordes of enemies.

And prince, all it takes is a simple google search. the truth is out there

I honestly searched for hours, wasn't being lazy.

But thankfully, there are stand-up individuals on this site willing to help a brother out.

Well, what version is your PS2? Did you place the plastic pieces where they belong?

I have a big one, not the flip top. And yes I got the slide card to work. I haven't been able to get the game to play when I use Magic Swap. Do I need another program to play it? Or am I supposed to use both of the swap magic disks? And in which order? I'm so confused.

You have 2 Swap Magic discs, one in DVD and one in CD (for PS2 and PS1 games respectively). So just pop in the SM DVD and when the menu comes up you'll see an option for video mode, select PAL or NTSC (I'm not sure, but try PAL first). Now change the disc using the slider (make sure not to press "eject") and press X on "Load Program".

Okay, I tried to put the DVD one in first but for some reason my PS2 keeps saying "disc read error" I know I got it to work before, so I'm sure it's just doing this to piss me off. It's very annoying but I'll try again in a week or so. Maybe I'll burn a copy of the DVD one just in case there is a problem with the disc itself. Do you think that will help?

Hmm, two things:

1) Burning a copy of the Swap Magic discs is useless because you need an original copy of those discs to run any DVD game copy, this includes the SM discs. Or did you mean to backup the Berserk DVD?

2) The "Disc Read Error" problem isn't usually caused by burned games, but dirty lens or some other problem. Use a Q-tip, soak it a little in alcohol and carefully clean the lens with it, that's the quickest solution, but depending on what's causing your problem, it might not fix it completely.

Jubilations, it worked! Thank you so much for the advice, it was really helpful. Holy Godzilla, the graphic are amazing! Gattz looks so awesome. And the game play is a lot of fun! Thanks again!

do anyone think guts will get back his left arm or eye?

or that will just ruin the story for you?

I strongly doubt it. I think that would strike me as entirely too much of a cheap plot device. Miura is usually too good to stoop to such a level.

i don't really care about the arm but the eye been bugging me,i some how think he should get it back.
seeing the story has a lot of magic stuff (witches, wizards etc) a eye he could proberly get away with.

ps: i try closing one eye and walk, let just say it didn't turn out well, guts has to fight enemies from all directions.

This is why Guts is awesome, and you are not. He can do things like this.

Actually, if you think about it, Gut's armnament is about perfect for having only one eye. His sword is as far from being a precision instrument as one can get, and do to the size exact depth perception is less important. His cannon is generally used only at very close range. His crossbow is rapid fire, and he generally uses it against masses of enemies, so again exact accuracy is less critical. The only thing that doesn't quite fit are the throwing knives, and he barely ever uses those.

I'm assuming this has been discussed.

But take a moment to pretend that the Berserk Universe was in parralell to ours. For you European history majors, approximately at what era of history would you consider the storyline of Berserk to take place. Tenth century, Dark Ages, 12th century.....etc?

In regards to the invasion of the Kushans, which I would equate to the Ottoman empire which preceeded the Crusades, I have my ideas. But last learned about European Hx. was in highschool so my knowlwdge is limited.

I'd say probably the 12th century because that was when real inquisitions were at their height. That would be the dark ages I presume then?

Probably late middle ages of some point. Cannons have been invented, but not guns, and the cannons are still pretty primitive and new, based on the fact that they aren't moved around very much, mostly just staying in fixed fortifications, and they're not always even present there.

Actually, in a lot of ways this story reminds me of the hundred years war between England and France. We've got a war that has lasted 100 years as the invading country systimatically kicks the crap out of the country they invaded, and the tide of the war is finally turned by a peasent who is a genius military commander and comes to lead major armies, and is a rallying point for the people. Eventually this peasent is betrayed by those in power, and destroyed. It's not exactly the same, but the parellels seem really strong to me.

Wait, wait.....let me get this straight......you are comparing Griffith with Joan of Arc? Thats sick man.......so damn sick.....

Yeah, I know, you just meant they have some points in common, but for gods sake, its JOAN OF ARC!!!!
This is even worst that the comparison between Berserk and Heman that the prince once made. AND HE WAS KIDDING!!!

Ok, calm down Rolos......he didn't really meant it.......he didn't actually compare that schizophrenic bitch with the megalomaniac yet reasonable Griffith....

*anger management succeeded*

Well, have any of you read "the cursed/damned kings"? A very enjoyable novel to read and also a very good way to learn history ( just a shallow knowledge, not 100% actual history). Anyway, at some point is mentioned that there were 2 large wars between France and England, and that both are known as 100 years war, even though none of them lasted that much. I.................................... am sure I had a point when I started writing this......huh....nevermind.

PD: And yes, Griffith probably would like to wear a skirt, so he has lots of thing in common with William Wallace. Wait. William Wallace DID wear a skirt.
Oh my god.....does this mean that......................... :nosebleed:

As you have somewhat figured out, I was not in any way comparing the personalities of Griffith and Joan of Ark. Obviously they are totally different people, with totally different personalities and goals. I was just noting that there are some interesting similiarities in the situation of both, and the role that each played in that situation was somewhat similiar.
