Just saw Underground: Evolution tonight.
Well....the first was better, the main werewolf and vampire guy were just too damn weak.

I have a movie called the 300 Spartans obiviously based on the same history. But it's really old( i mean the commericals weren't in color old). Great movie too except the persians are white guys. But i love myself some 300 so i'll go see this movie. without a doubt

Yeah that one was from the 60's, a decent depiction of the biggiest and most heroic battle, "Battle of Thermopylae". Alot more, or attempts to, historically correct oriented then 300. Because this one is based on a highly stylized and kickass beautiful graphic novel, where Miller takes alot of liberties.
About white people playing persians etc, those days it was quite bad...John Wayne playing Genghis Khan

But not too much has changed today...just look at Troy...pretty much no one, barring the aussie that played Hector...looked greek(greece and Persians look alike...I mean the ethnic persians...not all different people and races under the persian empire). Greeks are southern europeans and midetereans, not blond and blue eyed, or anglo-saxon caucasians like all the of the cast were.

That movie is crap, hardly worth the time it took to watch it, but I like Kate in black leather
and the story is incredibly inconsistent

Robert Downey Jr. to play Iron Man.

He can pull it off.

He can definately relate with the whole "substance abuse" thing. I'm just happy it isn't Tom Cruise like early reports said. That would have been horrible.

Nice ! Thanks for the Info. It's been weeks that I've wondered who'd they pick to play Tony. Jon Favreau directing is making me a bit nervous because... well I've only seen from him «Zathura» and «Very Bad Things». But I'll wait to see what Jon can do. Having Robert play Tony makes me feel some kind of relief. I think he can pull it off too, his performance was great in «Kiss Kiss Bang Bang».

Don't forget that both are filthy rich drunks, so I'm sure Downey Jr. can relate to Stark.

Tony Jaa? Wicked. Want to see that.
Saw Brick a while ago, couple of days perhaps. A good movie right there. Perhaps the birth of a new genre, even. Like the use of the sun.
I am looking forward to seeing The Fountain, and perhaps The Departed. The Departed is a remake of the Hong Kong master-piece Infernal Affairs. It may be shit in comparison, but... you know... having another reason to complain about Hollywood cinema isn't necessarily a bad thing.

the guys who wrote the Infernal Affairs also helped out in writing the screen play for The Departed. So bascally expect the same thing with a fucking awesome ass cast of actors.

Halfnhalf, you have me convinced.
Damien, really? No moments where he destroys five people in a single take? Beats up steroid abusers? Fights people to death inside a ring of random kinetic energy? I think I might just watch Ong Bak again, actually.

Oh, barely above mediocre, lol. Yeah, I thought the fight scenes were good, and the acting surprisingly involved, but it wasn't the best movie ever, heh. The fight with the guy in the white suit was pretty cool though.

It wasnt Jet Li's best movie but deserves better than 6/10 cause of the acting and the cool fights specially against the white cloth guy.
Here is the official trailer for 300

I have read the comic and i must say it looks like just like comic and surely will be the coolest take ever on this story.
I wasnt sure about this director looks like he was a real fan of FM to get the movie look and feel like the comic.
Cant wait to it comes out.

I won't get my hopes up too much. Ever since Sin City...
Rodriguez and Tarantino have lost the plot lately.

The Wicker Man.
