That's what I was trying to say, I'm seriously confused. Gillians are supposed to be huge, I thought they were like Grand Fisher style. THen we got introduced with the 11+ guys (espadas) and finally the 10- (Vastrodes). But not anymore! So now vastrodes are not even in the picture, so what Toushirou said still hold. But I'm thinking that even Aizen will hardly be able to handle them. And anyone who knows how to read, and thus reads Bleach, should already know this. If you didn't already know that, then stop wasting your time on Bleach and just go drool on yourself.
Chapter 213:
Holy crap, those Arancaru were only Gillian class hollows. Well that changes everything. Looks like things could get much worse for our intrepid heros. Perhaps Toushiro wasn't wrong when he said that ten Vastrode class Arancaru could destroy Soul Society.

yes in theory they are. but as you can see alterations of the hollows have already begun seeing that the arrankar are results of the hou gyoku. i could be wrong, but from aizens statements, it seems the gillian class was the finished class, and now they are workin on the espada and vastrode class.Albator wrote:Gillians are supposed to be huge, I thought they were like Grand Fisher style.
wow kubo tite never ceases to amuses me. everytime a lil whiner comes to this thread and whines how everything is blown out of proportions, he shuts them up in the next few chapters by making a totally unexpected but logical reason of why. people whining about how renji, hitsugaya, and matsumoto pwned the arrankar too easily and it doesnt make sense, but now kubo tite shows why it does. HAH, fools!

Indeed, it's doing fine, check out chap 216 (grab the LQ at bleach7).
That's scary, and the look on that girl's face is gold. Doesn't matter where all of this is going, that chapter was pure graphic goodness. Nice buildup by the author, Ichigo is right to be scared and that hollow bitch got to stay on short leach.

Yeah, currently his father has come back into the picture and is working with him to help him reattain his Quincy powers at the cost of severing friendships with Shinigami and any of the Shinigami's friends.
Turns out his father is a much stronger Quincy than Ishida was, and has the Quincy Cross from his father (Ishida's grandfather). Marking him as the last Quincy.

Steeples scrape the sky, Praising God.
Everything here exists for God, is sacrificed to God.
For those who have nothing to sacrifice,
It can be a very heartless city indeed.

I just caught up the other day and I'm glad to see that things have got more interesting. Other than the upcoming fights, I really like the friction between the characters. Ichigo is slowly drawing away from everyone else as he realizes that he can't protect everyone the way he wants to but he fails to notice that he is alienating his friends by doing so. Not to mention Orihime's feelings.
Either way, I have to admit that even I went "Hell nall..." when I found out Ichigo's father is a Shinigami. It seemed so terribly cheesy that I think that's the main reason I lost track of it in the first place but it's a good thing I started on it again.

EG needs some help. Please feel free to contact us if you want to become a part of the staff.
It's not necessarily cheesy, since it accounts for why Ichigo is a monster in terms of spiritual pressure. And his father seems to be quite the beast as well, at least in his prime.
Granted, introducing his father as a shinigami opened a bunch of plotholes if you refer to the earlier chapter. I just think that in term of cheesiness I saw worst.

i think it actually closes a lot of plotholes if you ask me. i mean there is no real explanation why ichigo is so strong or why he has massive spirit pressure. its not because he is a human, because ryokas are supposed to be weak. perhaps it is because he is the offspring of a shinigami and human. yeah i know it sounds silly, but in a lot of stories the whole cross breeding idea prove to be reasons why many main characters are so ridiculously powerful (such as ed elric being so powerful because of his dad and his mom)Albator wrote: Granted, introducing his father as a shinigami opened a bunch of plotholes if you refer to the earlier chapter.
As I said it explain why Ichigo is a monster in term of spiritual pressure. But some people, as your avatar, are defined as genius since they are born, Ichigo could just be one of them, an anomaly in term of spiritual pressure (like Kenpachi). But that opened other weird situation, like in the 1st chapters of bleach when Isshin got litteraly pwned by a 2nd rate holo while his childs are beeing murdered. Maybe he couldn't switch to shinigami or it was part of a plan whatever, but as of now (who knows what the author has in his bag) it's a little far fetched.
It doesn't bother me that much anyway, and a chapter like 401 make all this things unimportant.

I hadnt thought of that. I think that that is most definitely a plot hole because no matter how secret he would want to keep his power, i dont think any parent would ever do that on purpose especially considering his children are all he has in the world. The fact that isshin was a shinigami, although i believe this is unlikely, could have been something that the bleach mangaka thought of later.
