Well, spending years as a blacksmith might have given him some muscle power...and he is that much into DIY he easily could have built himself some asskicking weapons...or even a mecha...hehehe

Actually, I think he was a pretty good fighter for his age, since he not only was in the Hawks but managed to survive until de end. Rickert can become a good warrior. In this sense, he can be bettter than Isidro, since Isidro (as that Pirate said) lack "killing intent" with his sword, since Rickert killed before, and a lot, for the Hawks. With a crossbow mostly (I think), but anyway...

Yeah, Rickeret is the only blacksmith Gutts knows and trusts.

I can see Rickeret being brave and able. He knows a thing or two about a thing or two by now.

I could swear that I remember Godo saying something to Rickert about teaching him how to fix the Dragonslayer...but then again it's not good to swear I'm told. ^_^

Rickert might really be the only one to rework the dragonslayer, I mean he learned being a blacksmith from godo who originally created the dragonslayer and it seemed that he was always talented with handcraft.

but let's look forward to the upcoming battle and see what miura has up in his sleeve....
Guts becoming their savior and recognized as hawks raid leader? But what would guts say if he is recognized? I mean there is a new band of the hawks and if they act like he is one of these, he might get angry...
it would still be nice what everybody would think about guts if they knew who he is.

Also, I think Guts need to get off his lazy ass and fix his own damn sword! ^_^ Nah...I like seeing Rickert slowly grow up...Character development or whatnot.

Guts would break it, he's not made for that "fine" work.

strategical attack, eliminating the nobles means destroying the country's moral, so theres a higher chance of the people surrendering, less fatalties while invading means more women for the kushans, so more soldiers. thats what i think
