but where i live its really hot out...

This just in, UMD movies are soo fucking cool!!!
Noted problems about watching movies on the PSP. If there is sun, you will not beable to see your screen at all. Better hope its only you thats watching, so you can have headphones on, but if there are others, you can double the sound on the speakers, but it still isnt that much louder.

but the fact that you can watching anything (just for you prevs out there) on the go is just too cool.

The sun isnt a big problem just cause you can shield yourself from it.

How does work when you put movies from you pc onto you PSP? For example if i wanna watch anime i have on my pc in the PSP.

Even if you are int eh shade, the PSP screen isnt too visiable, but yah the sun's a bitch i mean who goes outside these days??

there is two ways of putting videos on your PSP.

1. to buy a cable that links your psp to your PC through the USB.
2. use your memory pro duo stick and put it in your flash reader.

All movies would save space if resized, so full length 700 mb movies will be roughly 300 or less instead. And the file needs to be converter to an mp4 format. there are hakcs that are coming soon so that you can run avi's instead. But if you want your full length videos, gonna need to spend an extra 100 US dollars on a 1 gig memory pro duo.

PSP can only use Memory Pro Duo sticks and Memory Pro Gaming Duo.

theres no difference, ones just different colors.

I was thinking about watching anime on PSP. Since my animes are in avi format so i hope the hacks you are talking about comes soon.

If you resize full leangt movies or a 200 mb file like an anime ep will the qaulity be much worse?

The wuality isnt worse.. cuz well THE SCREEN IS SMALLER THEN YOUR COMP SCREEN. sorry just had to do that cux everyone forgets about.

As for your anime, there might be a small problem, that is the subtitles (if you watch in subtile). It maybe sometimes too small, but i havent tried yet, i looked at the subtitle on the UMD movies, some are small and other are a bit bigger, but since most anime you got are mostly fansubbs you cant change the subtitles. But no worries, there are anime soon to come out on UMD!! but the oh bitch part is that the UMD movies are fuckign region coded... soo you cant watch US or Japanese UMD movies...

Its cool cause then i dont buy anime umd cause i find the same on dvd plus i love watching anime on a big screen.

I just thought that watching anime on PSP when i'm on a buss or a train would be cool.

I dont think the subtitles will be a problem cause they are not smaller than non-anime subtitles.

You should cause gamewise Japan kills the rest of the world. I would if i could buy a PSP from that part of the world to get more japanese games.

Aren't PSP games region free? Only UMD movies are region locked, you can import japanese games and play them in an american PSP without a problem as far as I know.

Has to be. It's a handheld and one of the main selling points behind a handheld device is that you can travel with it and take it anywhere you want. That's why the games are region free, so you can buy whichever game you like in any country.

The PSP HAS NO REGION CODE FOR ITS GAMES. Only movies have the region code bullshit.

If you are gonna buy movies for your PSP just stick the the country of where its easy to buy UMD movies... so you can play the movies quick.

For all you guys planning on purchasing a PSP i would wait just a but longer. Supposedly soon sony will come out with the White PSP, maybe even more colors. Plus more games to choose from in the wall and holiday time.

I didn't get any cash or any thing for my birthday, getting older can suck some times, I don't know if I will be able to ever afford the damn thing now. I guess I will just pray for them to drop the price down or something.

Exactly, don't have any room to complain. Just one of those perks that I miss every once in a while. I got my XBOX for my birthday, I think it was my 19 or 18th B day, it can be hard to get the money to buy every thing some times.

My sister bought her XBOX last year, she's 15. I was the same though I hate to see how they throw all their money away for games and stuff.

If you've got a PSP, Lumines or Darkstalkers Chronicles and a wireless connection then register here and set up your account IMMEDIATELY so I can beat the crap out of you. :D

It's not limited to PSPs either, we can start a Mindwerks clan and it'd work for all X-Box, PS2, Gamecube (not that many games are online) and PSP games. I think I should start a thread about this...
