hmmmm, crazy perhaps, but probably not very likely
i mean, it could happen, but it's been what, 3 years now at least, since the eclipse?
at this stage Caska is just dead weight, and i would be happy to get rid of her in one way or another(or get her damn well fixed), in any case it would be nice to get back to the real story instead of this sub-quest to 'elf-hell', not that some cool shit hasn't happened along the way, but still
and again through the eye......what can i say.... i love it

Well maybe you guys would prefer something like in Bleach, she comes back to herself and pwn apostles with he new powers and lightblade offered by the elves.

:lol Finito 1 I hope to god nothing like that happens. Then again if its explained correctly the possibilities are endless. 2 Bleach and Berserk are 2 totally different animals.
But yes she is dead weight. I don't care if she fights or not but at least her being able to talk and express fealings (she doesn't have to get her memory back) would suffice.

Yeah that would be enough for me too. Now she´s just boring

She makes me laugh to say the least...like when Serpico fought Guts in the pillar room and was holding his head you see Caska in the background holding her head. Pair that with the retard noises she makes now just makes me laugh my ass off.

Yeah but Im laughing out off boredom on how shes acting.
But anyways, how many thinks Guts will get to the ship in this chapter?

I think he will start going and probably reach it but then his brand will bleed the apostle style and then he will smile his berserken smile and maybe (hopefully) rush off to fight them.

Hmm, perhaps.
How about Guts get everyone on the boat and then he cant resist busting some Demons a** so he rushes on to land again.

Mm very nice preview looks very promising.
I also hope for a an apostle fight or Guts fighting against some strong kushan guy.

The way the story's going so far, I can't see Guts abandoning the others to go fight an Apostle. But if one showed up on the way to the ship, he might tell the others to go on ahead while he fights it (like he did with the trolls in the cave). That would be really cool. I agree that it would be nice if he had another big battle with an apostle. At the very least we should see him killing a lot of those lesser monsters.

Uhhh ... ya know, theres this little thing called the berserker armor .... which enable the beast within him to almost completely takes over. In this form, he just does a bunch of crazy shit without remorse.
Maybe you missed those chapters.

Maybe you're missing the great point that Istvan was trying to make.
The armor is the only thing that would make him fight. Guts himself isn't interested in fighting wheter it be a regular Apostle or Zodd himself. Its been made apparent that his primary focus at this moment is to "heal" Caska.

Right, so as long as anything doesn't get in the way of that goal...

Well so sort of obsticle can present itself, ie: an apostle, but I dont' see him really staying behind to fight. Hell he was willing to leave people to their death a couple of chapters ago (very unGuts like). Not saying that he is the friendly neighborhood Black swordsman. But he in the past would eliminate all enemies that came before him. ...............
then again as you should know by now Starnum I love to look too deep into things. XD

Hmm, i just realized some serious gramatical errors in my last post ....
But anyway, he doesnt have a good point because Gatts can't resist or fully control the armor's powers yet. We all know that Gatts wouldnt abandon them unless some outside force was acting on him but there is in fact an outside force in effect, the armor. So once all hell breaks loose, he will go in a berserker rage and the beast will come out. He won't completely abandon his crew but he will stray away from them, for a while at least.

True he has yet to display much (if any) control over the armor. That doesn't dismiss the point that was raised. Another thing your last post just restated what Istvan said btw.

Yea now that I think about it he has gotten soft hearted considering how he used to be. He's pretty much gotten to how he was like when he was with the Hawks. He cares for his men again. I think so anyway. Especially now that Owen has reawakened the feelings, or memories, (maybe) in him again.

You know, I think he just dislikes nobles.
Also, I don't think he'll use the Berserker Armor unless he absolutely needs to. He knows how dangerous it is. I guess we'll see though.

I disagree with the idea that he can't resist the armor. I think he can resist it to a certain extent, but when the situation starts to look hopeless, he has no choice but to let the armor take over. There really haven't been too many scenes with the armor in effect though, so I think it's still a little early to tell for sure, but my hunch is that Guts will resist using the armor in the near future, at least as much as he can. He resisted the urge during the Serpico fight, and he only went berserk on that sea monster when it smacked him away, plus he was already injured.
But now, Guts should be more or less fully recovered, and it would break my heart to see him give in to the armor so easily. In my eyes, it would make Guts seem weaker, not stronger, if he doesn't have the will power to keep his inner demons at bay. That said though, he better kick some ass in really creative ways without the armor, because I want to be entertained too ^^

I agree that if he begins to give into to the armor easily it would make Guts seem weaker. I feel that him just using the armor makes him seem weaker. He's killed apostles before without the armor...hell, he's put down an apostle without the Dragonslayer, remember Wyald?

Yes he should use the armor just in times off real crisis.
Otherwise al his training is for nothing

I dont think he needs the armour and it should be removed from Guts soon cause it makes him weeker that he must use it sometimes.
I think he could get even stronger without it,if he faces apostles that he cant handle. He is at his best when they beat him almost to death.

Actually, if you come to think about it, he's being stronger than ever. Every single time, he would fight. He would live by his sword, and without worrying. Now, he's actally NOT FIGHTING unless absolutely necessary, he's only thinking about healing Casca. Man, you can tell anything, but in Guts NOT FIGHTING is he being stronger.
About the armor - he doesn't get fully dominated by the armor. A simple example (as already pointed out) it's when he was fighting Grumbeld (which, by the way, is one of the coolest apostles ever) and he fled to help Casca and Farneze. That was great.
Another moment: Owen appearing was enough to remember him of his past, and about the Hawks. That alone would suffice to re-awaken his hate for Griffith (who, now, has a physical form, so Guts can hurt him). But he talked to him, and remembered him about the Hawks ("Those guys..."). To simply dismiss the chatter and walk away, probably he was burning inside, but he kept cool, and moved along...c'mon, that is strength.
Remember, it's not strength when you do something you really want to, it's when don't do it because of a better goal...

Yeah he has grown much from the Guts he was before. It would be strange if he didnt learn from his past.
But i must say taking care of Casca is taking so long. I wish he could make sure she is taken care of and goes back to his hunting a little faster.
Its like these apostles are getting stronger all time while he isnt figthing and getting more rusty.
I wonder what he will do about Ishidoro,Serpico,Farnese its not like they can go with him against the apostles.

Actually, I like the way things are going. Berserk is never shallow - there are MANY mangas/animes around about a bad ass fighter, but they get repetitive after a while. Berserk is always changing. C'mon, who would have foresee this turn of events?
I really think Casca being healed would turn things around again, and that would be amazing. I like when Guts fight apostles, don't get me wrong - there's nothing to dislike, after all

but I want him fighting with a greater reason than simply "I want to swing my sword"
Oh, and the guys can fight apostles. Remember, there are usually a few large apostles (to Guts handle) and a lot of lesser ones - for them
