If I ever strike it rich, I feel obligated to buy a copy of every piece of Berserk memorabilia I can find, and then display it and other things in a gallery. Tcha, that’d be sweet. Until then, people need to just start sending me shit. :P

That 52 inch sword only becomes a 4.3 ft sword. If you take the blade length only its 37 inches, which is just over 3 ft.

I know its damned near impossible to find a true sword which even comes close to the dragonslayer... but I've found a couple.

This one is tall enough
78 inches equals 6.5 feet!

Scottish Claymore thats 68 inches

Another fine sword

I am tempted to buy the one you posted... just to use it as a reference for making a life-sized one. m^__^m

##edit## spidey 3 kinda let me down... alot.

Dammit...i was having great hopes for the Trueswords Dragonslayer...but just like the Twinkle and Icingdeath of Drizzt the makers muck it up. Good attempt I must say but they don't even have the rough, dark iron part in the middle. And also, the Dragonslayer had a cloth wrapped handle with some hanging off...

Blasphemy...why can't people just make the actual damn sword. I am going to learn the art of blacksmithing and do it!!!! ^_^

EDIT: i'm not a comic book reader of Spidey but I loved the movie!!! I am playing the game too. ^_^ I can't wait for Spidey 4 now.
That's right!! Another pointless post by me bitches!!! HA!

awwww, and the kitty wants to play lol

Well this is more like the real thing! I wonder where I would put that bitch in my messy room.
It is probably custom made...and goddamn expensive.

+ I have yet to see Spidey 3, and I think I'm gonna change my set once I get back to regular posting.

Holy shit now that is more like it... wow still in awe... god I wish I could touch it... although now that I look at it more closely it looks too much like tin was used for the blade egde :( but still a great sword

Ha. Glad to see you guys like those pics. I found them on skullknight.net. You can actually read the start of the building process here.

I also found a very well done fully combinable advent children buster sword on ebay. Its made of wood but it has an awesome paint job making it look very realistic. Take a look here.

I think that may be a bit too big. Gats is still human-sized although quite tall. I would say hes 6ft+ but no more than 7 ft tall. I'm guessing here but the sword shouldn't be more than 7 ft long.

The guy who wrote the walkthrough for the ps2 game said this about the sword:
I approximate the sword, with handle, to be around seven feet tall,
roughly 1.5 feet wide, and four inches thick at its thickest point. It is
made of Iron (Fe), Atomic Number: 26, Atomic weight: 55.845 amu. Iron nuclei
are said to be very stable, but is historically combined with carbon or
alloyed with other metals. Pure iron is very susceptible to corrosion in
humidity and has moderate magnetic properties. I would estimate the weight of
Dragonslayer to be in the range of 210 - 295 pounds (95.2544 - 133.8097 kg).
These are NOT official or to be taken at face value, they are simply my
educated guesses. To put that into perspective, a typical Scottish claymore
is about 50 inches long while weighing around 7 - 11 pounds. Even the largest
swords ever made to be handled by one person never exceeded 20 pounds.

Can we count the post above as shameless spamming/ advertising to promote something totally unrelated to Berserk?

Anywho... A friend of mine just got back from Japan. She couldn't find Yoshitaka Amano's '1001 Nights' on DVD so she got me this instead, since I never shut up about Berserk in class:
Image
Of all the regular stuff that looked 'normal' for Berserk, she HAD to get me this. Either way I'm not complaining. m^__^m

So I thought I'd put up my tiny Berserk collection so far:

I'm so jealous of you. While I may not have a modded/swap magic PS2 to play the game, I wish I could have that. I'm not even able to find it online to buy from anywhere, not even eBay. Might you know how many were produced?

I don't have a modded ps2... I had to borrow a friends to play it. I bought this thing off Ebay about 1.5 years ago. As far as I know only about 10k were made strictly in Japan.

I've got 2 fake Berserk t-shirts, 1 made on campus, 1 ordered of a bootleg guy on Ebay. Should I post pics?

Yeah I saw that... but with those measurements the blade is just barely 3 ft. The whole sword is only 52 inches (4 and 1/3 feet). I wouldn't feel too comfortable swinging that at people or even a giant minotaur looking thing with wings(Zod).

I'll have a DS made for me one day. Only once I'm strong enough to wield it.
