Currently Watching?

The latest and greatest of Japanese Animation. Found something new, or perhaps old and arcane... if it has to do with anime, it goes right here.

Working my way through Blood+ (slowly). I tend to go for older shows I haven't seen yet, and less so for the newer stuff (unless I see awesome reviews). Re-acquiring Mai-Otome subs in hopes of being able to finish it before my harddrive wipes itself. :p

I prefer the older shows too. Currently following Death Note, but in between the releases I'm watching good ol' GTO. Death note fascinates me, but I feel pretty distant from it emotionally (unlike Great Teacher Onizuka).

Just finished blasting through Mai-Hime/-Otome. Now starting in on Last Exile. Boy the animation is amazing, if frequently physics-defying (mainly in regards to the machines - the characters are spot on).

watched a few episodes of "hell girl" which i enjoy for the crazy scenes of people going down the river stix with whatever ironic punishment they are suffereing from. i just cant say no to the super demonic little japanese girl.. but it is pretty repetitive after a while. still good though.

Finally finished Last Exile, and now debating whether to watch a series with a finite ending (aka Scrapped Princess or maybe something older) or catching up with Bleach. Decisions, decisions.

Anyone tell me if the Super Robot Wars anime is any decent? I wanna check it out, but I need some opinions of those who have seen it. What other anime would you compare this to, specifically?

I havent watched an anime since sep 2006. I have always been more manga fan than anime so one day i just didnt have the time to watch anime anymore thanks to reading more manga and watching more tv shows like Supernatural on the comp.

I finaly got bored by my lack of anime.

I recently picked up watching Baki the Grappler. It's pretty good. Though it's not easy to find on the internet....and they shut down all users on youtube that had it. It's a good action anime.

I've been watching ZZ Gundam off and on, it's slow going for some reason. I don't know, it doesn't seem like the rest of the UC stuff, but it's good enough.

just finished watching whatever I missed from Tenchi Universe. It seemed to lost something from when I saw it before. Also watched Escaflowne straight. Still badass, especially Dilandow. Well the silly love moments with Allen and Hitomi wanting to fuck anybody they meet is pretty stupid but other then that it is great.

Thanks gonna look them up.

Claymore sounds interesting when i read about the manga in baka. Which is better the manga or the anime? I dont like censored stuff but if they are totaly the same then i can watch the anime cause i need more animas than mangas right now.

To be honest Lib I think its about the same. If anyone disagrees then chime in. But I've found for the most part that this anime is following the manga for the most part. Of course its great to watch things in motion and in living color so I would say the anime. Of course the manga is at volume 13 and episode 8 was at about volume 5. I found it started off slow then it picks up after the flashback.
