Suggestion: Keep the trolls around.
This is how it goes down:
1) A troll/dumbass joins.
2) Everybody has fun at his expense for a few days.
3) We (psi) ban(s) him.
4) A few months later another troll/dumbass joins.
5) Repeat from 2.
My suggestion is simple: Keep the trolls around so we can keep having fun all year long!
I rule.
EDIT: I fucked up my vote so unbelievers you have one on your side already.

The trolls are alright cause i always enjoy a good flaming.
But if one of them crosses the line like there were some dude in Berserk chapter 279 thread talking shit about another members mother.
Thats ban for atleast couple of months.

As for Arngrim and Phoenix, I think their bans were justified, they were giving warnings by psi but choose to ignore it. I don't see why there should be any debate open regarding this matter. The point of warnings is to stop people from getting out of line, which they did. Warnings should be heeded, not ignored. Consequences that follow the warnings were given, and those posters acknowledged the consequences yet chose not to follow them. Hence, the rightful bans.
The way I see it, the trolls usually leave on their own anyway. Either way, whether they leave or get banned, we won't see much of them anymore.
As long as trolls don't shit on one of the mods or admins, and only mindlessly target a specific subject, they can stay. If they happen to be harassing a certain poster of these forums, while it may be fun to watch, we as mods have a responsibility to intervene and calm matters. How about if that happens, I stall it for as long as possible? Sounds like a fair compromise.

I don't think half the toilet seats in the world are as clean as I should like; and only half of those are half as clean as they deserve. - tsubaimomo, July 26, 2010 3:00 am
