It was SK that mentioned the Elf King. Puck mentioned Elfheim right at the start of the Millennium Falcon arc, but when they questioned him on the King (after SK brought it up) it didn't look like he knew much about him. I wonder when the last time was Puck actually went home...
That being said, I doubt SK is the Elf King. But then I also doubt that he is actually Gaiseric, I just tihnk its way too obvious, rofl. I'm more inclined to think Gaiseric might be Void, and SK may be a relative or close friend who was sacrificed. (E.g. Gaiseric sacrifices his Kingdom (and everyone in it) to become a Godhand). Of course Gaiseric could also have been a Godhand Incarnated like Griffith (which is probably more likely). Oh well, Miura knows.

of course he isn't, silly, you are!Starnum wrote:Yeah, I think Flora may have cast a spell to keep SK alive after being ripped to shreds by the armor, or something. I’m pretty sure it was Puck who mentioned the elf king, I know he was the one who brought up Elfheim. I seriously doubt SK is the king of the elves though.

This might be a little late to mention but, looking at the size of the SK vs Puck and other natural elves.
How could SK be the king of elves not to mention that he is...well technically a dead guy riding a dead horse.
Where elves are seemingly care free and happy go lucky.
SK wore the berserker armor as well so at some point he was human.
the SK having a fairy sent, He is a "closely bound fate with flora". I mean as long as Gatts been with Puck which is like 2 or three years, whould Puck's smell wear onto Gatts??
The only human size elf thing would be that one apostile that used to be Jills friend back around v15.
The real question as to pertaining Elf Helm is; Why did Puck really run away form his home town. Just for laughs lets say that Puck has a issue with his father "the king". lol i mean the sound of it is funny. PRINCE PUCK.
Puck Forgot he had a home, when he remembered he had a home he probly didnt know where it was and it was Shreike that told the group where it was and she know form Flora. Puck forgot his own history and said that he was bored in Elf Helm and that was why he ran away. It sounds like an excuse When you look at pucks personality and listen to his descriptions of his old home. It doesnt make sense why Pucks Paradise was indeed his own Boring hell, and since Puck is a spiritual creature he could have true natural everlasting life. Knowing that SK is approxamately 1 thoughsand yrs old, who is to say that puck wasnt around then too??
SK only hit a few brain cells in Puck's head.

Sorry to interrupt
I was watching the anime just now and it got the part where Guts noticed the behelit around Griffith's neck. So when Griffith tells Guts all about the Behelit, doesn't it sound like he knows a bit to much? He even said that everyone is willing to die for him and his dream; he will choose where Guts will die for him and he knew everything about the behelit just that he didn't know how it worked. But maybe (I'm thinking) he didn't get it from a old lady merchant and he knows all about it. I haven't read the manga in a while so I don't know if it's the same speech. But damn if it doesn't sound like Griffith knows more about the behelit at that time than I thought.
Oh and sorry if I interrupted any discussion but I didn't want to make a new thread. ^_^

I don't have the manga or anime to hand, but I tihnk its more-or-less the same speech. I think you're generally meant to assume what he said about the Behelit was told to him by the old fortune teller who gave it to him. The whole 'everyone willing to die for him' thing is probably Griffith referring to 'dying in battle' for him rather than 'dying to make me a god, fuck-yeah damn straight!'.TheDrizzit wrote:I was watching the anime just now and it got the part where Guts noticed the behelit around Griffith's neck. I think Griffith didn't know exactly what was going to happen, but knew a lot more than he let on. In Volume 12 Chapter 04, when Griffith sees the eclipse and the behelit change, he tries to tell Guts to stay back. This seems to imply that he knew some shit was going down and it was bad news for Guts.

maybe he didnt want to sacrifice guts and wanted him out of the eclipse and maybe the reason why he fled from the camp was to try and commit suicide and summon the eclipse without his soldiers...but tricky Idea won't have it like that considering his other soldiers, minus rickert, were eaten as well, though SK saved rickert didnt he?

hellloooooo!
Griffith had no idea about what the behelit can do
and he only knew about the eclipse what the GH told him
he was driven to the site by his visions, and tried to commit suicide once he saw how ridiculous and broken he became
besides, if he knew what was coming, he would have given careful thought about the sacrifice, and the GH didn't have to persuade him so much
(pardon my English)

Oh shit yeah, I completely forgot about that for some reason, disregard my previous statement.TheDrizzit wrote:Yea you had the Baron and then the elf-ish girl from that lost children arc there at the camp. They slaughtered the injured hawks there then went for Rickert but SK came in for the save. ^_^

I'd rather you called me Mulder, but then again, that has nothing to do with my nickMrFelony wrote:heh, dont worry skully, i was just poking the embers with a stick so to speak. but go all the way outthere to commit suicide? didnt he have a sword in the wagon with him? if he could manage to drive a carriage im sure he could somehow slit his throat on a sword...
And it is probably needless to say why he drove off, and why there couldn't have been a sword in his carriage...so I'll just let the newbies speak

then I won't leave any bullshit behind
so Gr. had those visions about his younger self, and felt that it might not be over yet, and tried to follow the vision, but got dumped into the water in the end
and what kind of dumbass would just go and leave a sword in badly broken man's carriage, who cannot possibly use it to defend himself?
the idea of suicide was a fresh idea for him anyway
