It's probably the "Neo-Hawks". I think the emperor will diverse his attention to them (like I said earlier). He might think Gatts will take a while to kill (hence the sword picture), so he might think what is more important.

And Gatts won't worry about the army - his worry now is Casca, and only her. The boats are burning, they don't have much time.

So based on that picture, my guess is that Guts stuck the sword in the boat and used it as a lightning rod, which would make a certain amount of sense. As for the Hawks entering the fray, even if Guts doesn't want to prioritize getting Caska to Elfheim, he might be rational enough to conclude that he is way too injured to be fighting them. I mean, he has a hole in his torso, burns, probably broken bones, electrical damage, strained muscles, and who knows how much else. Even he may be nearing the limit of how long he can keep fighting without the armor killing him.

even though guts has shown INCREDIBLE (understatement) strength in tight spots before, i think it's safe to say that he's about had it for this fight. i mean, if he doesn't get somewhere and heal (for real this time), witch chick is gonna have to resurrect his ass. i just can't help feeling like it's going to be griffith that saves him indirectly in some way, leaving guts even more fucked up in the head than he already is.

keep in mind though, this is Guts we're talking about. He hasn't had a good rest since he rejoined the Hawks. Because of the ghosts haunting him at night, and his constant battle against the Apostles he is almost never well rested. Than ever since his encounter with Slann (it wasn't that long ago in the Berserk world), he's been fighting injured. He's lost a LOT of weight, as we saw in that scene on the beach house, and unless he's wearing the Berserk Armor, he's still in too much pain to be his old warrior self.
Getting to elfhelm is critical for guts if he wants to be able to get back his old strength.

We have a raw of 275, however it isn't the best quality.

The tiny font is hella hard to read.

We are going to wait 8-9 hours for a better one, if not... we move forward. Just a heads up.

Heads up, just found a much better scan 2 minutes ago. 7.7megs in comparison to 2megs compressed.

So, I'm leaving for a trip but I'll be online tonight to do some editing.

Eldo is gone and Mystic is leaving soon, so hopefully mystic and EG's new addition uyauya will set me up sence I'll be doing editing this time around.

As psi said, this chapter does indeed kick ass. Not really much action at all, but this chapter is about who appears and how much of a bad-ass Guts is when he talks smack at the emperor. The chapter after 275 (which will release in the "normal" 2 weeks from now time-span) promises to make us all squeel in glee, it would appear from the ending of this one.

I'm afraid I can't edit because I have exams and the such, which will keep me occupied for a while. psi will handle the editing while I'm away, and I know he'll do a good job. I have taken a look at these new raws and I like what I'm seeing. I'm not saying anything further in risk of exposing spoilers.

In other news, today it's Wandering_Mystic's birthday! The guy deserves a thread of his own. I'll go start it right now...

So... when will the translation be ready for downloading? Since it is now 2 am in Serbia should I wait several more hours or go to sleep and check out tomorrow?
I am usually not that impatient, but last chapter was such a cliffhanger and that is fuckin' killing me like a rusty axe.

No, the scanlation will not be ready until after a day or two, please be patient.

We just got our hands on a higher res raw just recently, and there are different time zones with each staff member.

From the look of things, you're better off sleeping. If one editor is out of commission...raw came out today, and EG usually takes a day to release...

Well... is there anything I can do to help? No, unfortuantely, I can't speak Japanese(which makes my offer somehow pathetic), but I would say that I am pretty good at photo manipulation and editing, and I am on holiday so I have shitload of free time anyway.

It will be very good to find out the fate of Guts. He didn't die of course, but finding out why not is deeply exciting.
